Pixie cuts are _extremely_ flattering for most women. It’s an oldie but goodie and works in any decade. The stigma surrounding short hair doesn’t make sense to me. Yes, you can look womanly and beautiful with a “boy” haircut. Believe that!
I wouldn't say most. They are extremely flattering on some women but you have to have the bone structure to pull it off, but with the ones that do it definitely can look amazing!
Women don’t do because there are a lot of stupid men out there who believe women shouldn’t have short hair.
It is also an intimidating cut for the woman itself. You are completely exposed so you also need to have the confidence to rock it. They people that do they look breath taking!
@@maarselatallah6703 yap i remember a guy told me that.
I plan to get one in the spring. So excited!
She looks amazing! The hairdresser is truly an artist.
Relaxers really are a lifestyle. I begged for one as a kid & had one for years but as an adult I decided to go back to natural. TBH any Black hairstyle is a lifestyle. No shade to anyone on how they choose to style their hair!
As an aspiring hairstylist this is absolute fire to see! What a knowledgeable and kind soul the hairdresser is and she looks absolute fire!
I’m the complete opposite lol, I was relaxed as a kid and now I wear my natural hair, just a preference. Everyone should wear the hairstyle that they feel they can handle. Natural hair is no joke
This is the absolute truth. I can't wear a relaxer because my hair is very weak. However, I miss the ease and the styles.
I find my natural hair easier. My hair is weak due to genetics and my scalp is sensitive. My relaxed hair would always be over processed and start breaking. Every time I combed it lot of hair would come out. It had no body/volume and I hated going to the salon for hours on end. Going natural taught me a lot about hair in general and my hair specifically. Luckily or unluckily my hair never grows past my shoulders so it's not as much work as someone like my sister who has waist length hair. I can shampoo, condition and style my natural hair in 30 minutes if necessary. My hair doesn't tangle easily because I detangle weekly. If I only washed my hair once a month, I would be detangling semi dreadlocks. Something I'd rather not do. Not saying I would never relax but at the moment I'm enjoying the freedom from the scalp discomfort and the salon and the lack of volume.
Same! Personally I think taking care of relaxed hair is super high maintenance. You have to handle the growth, retouch etc. Either way I'm a fan of beautiful healthy hair natural or relaxed
@Rese C girl saaaammmmeee! I want a pixie soo bad, but my hair is too sensitive for relaxers. All I want to do is have a short cut cut!
My natural hair is 12-14 inches long 4C and I detangled my hair before wash during deep conditionings then after it’s so tiring my hair clumps together and knots at the end so agree no joke at all
I will ALWAYS love this cut.. those short cuts like this one are a go-to winner. Well done fam
Her face is perfect with this haircut. Wow! And I love how dense and healthy her hair is.
It really is
Stunning!! You can tell when someone really loves what they do. He's an artist!
This hair cut amazing. The client looks stunning with this haircut. This stylist gave his client a new vibe and helped her release a heart warming smile.
This brings back so many memories of pixie cut styles in the 90s (and allll the upkeep of them). He did a great job.
Very cute he did a good job. I use to have my hair cut like this the only thing that is quick about this is washing it. After you wash it you have to lay it down with wrapping lotion and wrap it. Also you have to style it or it will look crazy. New growth was super noticable so I was going to the salon every two weeks. It takes a lot of effort to keep it looking nice.
Exactly! Hair stylists don't tell you this part 😅 they love cutting it and blow drying long hair takes more time for them.
This kind of hair cut will have you going back for regular trims which is great for them, more money and less effort. I found it harder to keep short hair looking neat.
My mom warned me against this but I’m not listening 😂 I’ll try to get a more low maintenance pixie
Exactly very high maintenance hairstyle
I got a “pixie” ish haircut like this before going to boot camp and OH MY GOD it looked so awful 95% of the time since I had absolutely nothing to style it with or even a silk bonnet to protect it! Locs arent for everyone but it is hands down the easiest my hair has ever been to deal with and it’s looks good when I wake up!
@@herefortheshrimp1469 girl my dumb ass got braids before boot camp. I was in the marine corps so the first 5 months was training, training, training. It was stupid but that's what happens when you join a 90% white male branch. They all shave their heads, and i was walking around Parris Island looking a mess after month 2. We barely had time to brush our teeth let alone style black hair. But... whatever....
I do NOT miss getting a relaxer and I’m more of a natural bohemian type of person so natural hair just works better with how I live my life… HOWEVER, black women have been through too much (especially when it comes to their hair) so I definitely say do whatever makes you happy and do what works for YOU. You deserve to live life on your terms and in your own way. ♥️
omg shut everything is about how black women deserved this been through so much blah blah. You wanna do something just do that shit. you are not the only minority who have suffered.
@@JP-br4mx show me where she said that 🤡🤡🤡
@@JP-br4mx 🙄Your ignorance has no end.
@@JP-br4mx are you ok? Lol there’s this subsection of miserable people on the internet that like to troll comments … I guess you’re one of them. Go reflect love and let that light get in you.
@@-Bloomingtales lol I’m fine I’m just tired of people being like I’m a black woman and I deserve luxury and because I’m a black woman I’m gonna find me some white man because black men ain’t shit, I’m a black woman and we’ve been so much so I’m gonna have a perm. If you want to do those things, just do these things instead of using the fact you are a black woman to justify.
She looks AMAZING! The hairdresser is such an artist and he also has such a good heart--so caring.
Love how the stylist is so passionate about his job! He's enjoying every bit of it and I want to be just like him in the future when I start my professional career too. Just being able to wake up every day and remember you have an amazing job and then being excited to help others every day just like him is my dream. ♡
I wore my hair in natural for almost 10 years and I got so tired of the time consuming and paying arm and leg on products to upkeep my natural hair. On my 40th birthday I decided to get a relaxer and a pixie cut and now I love my relaxer and pixie hair. My husband loves it, he says it brings out my beautiful face more.
I went back relaxed after 4 years natural. Loving it! I relax my hair every 4-6 months. And care for it almost the same as when I was natural. Hair is almost to my booty now.
We’ve come a long way when relaxers have a stigma and natural hair is where it’s at. I was made fun of in middle school for having kinky hair- which was actually relaxed just not bone straight. I think we should all just let each other do what we want with our hair 👍🏽
I hope that one day black women will be able to wear their hair how they want without getting shamed for it. Natural hair is fine. Relaxed hair is fine. Wigs and lace front are fine. Blue hair is fine (ok maybe not for work but you got my point 😁)
I keep wanting to relax my hair and then i remember how much work it was to upkeep and i'm truly good on that... but I still wonder lol.
Natural hair is definitely harder to maintain especially depending on the texture
Ate up with ease & class. Top tier! *chefs kiss
Shout out to the beautician for educating us on hair care with the perm. Not everyone wants to be natural and thats ok. She does what works with her life style as we all should. It was her confidence for me.💜
Ok.
All I saw was the cut & I instantly watched..
I love a pixie it's been my style 4 20 plus years..
I absolutely agree with the young woman.easy no fuss & looks Amazing!!!
It's the dance at the end of every masterpiece he creates, that I wait for. Her hair is beautiful. 👏🏾👏🏾
What a talented hair stylist and I love how knowledgeable he was. Perfection and she looks fire sis!
I love a good pixie cut! This almost makes me want to cut my hair again! 🔥🔥
I'm never going back to relaxers but this is fire! I love it 😍
Same!!!
Exactly!
Never No creamy crack for me
Just went back after 10 years natural… I was terrible with all of the maintenance and products. Now I literally wash/condition and put in a bun. Easy under an hour “wash day”
Her hair looks phenomenal! 😍 full and healthy, and that cut was just masterful! What a gorgeous girl!
She´s unbelievebly gorgeus !!! This hairstyle is very suitting and also how the hairdresser works with her, i have no words.
He did such a great job, this cut looks amazing on her and she’s beautiful
I got a perm and cut similar to hers after being natural for 10 years. I'm happy as a clam..to each its own, no judgment, do whatever makes you happy and feeling cute.
Yassssssssssssss. The Fantasia Barrino is making a comeback 🔥
This is literally the best pixie cut I have ever seen… the cut itself is just beautiful!!!💗💗💗💗
These results are stunning. So sophisticated and such a timeless style :)
The hairdresser is incredibly talented and the woman is stunning!
Too cute!!! I went natural in 2005 when I was 21 yrs old in Kentucky (still am to this day). At the time this was very unpopular and I caught lots of heat from black folks only. Fast forward to now it's more common to see naturals than it is to see those rockin a relaxer. I've heard plenty of shade thrown at those who choose to be relaxed..as if it's a shameful act. Crazy!!! Do what you do boo! If it's cute ,you've weighed your options, and are able to execute in a HEALTHY way... then I support it either way. (Not that my opinion should matter at all)
DID THAT ❤️🔥 Also love how knowledgeable and positive this stylist was - I ain’t had this cut in years and now I’m ready to book an appointment 😂
Seriously! Where do I find him!? 🤗I'm natural but considering color and he is incredibly skilled and talented!!
Greg Gilmore is the best!!! His Insta is full of fire 🔥. His coloring, cuts, styles are on a whole different level ❤️😍.
One of my favorite transformations! And I learned a lot about this type of treatment. She looks beautiful and he is an absolute artist! ❤️
I watched this a ton of times! Just beautifully cut and styled! 😻😻😻😻😻
That hair suits this woman to perfection - she looks absolutely stunning!!! 💗
She was pretty to begin with but that cut really suits her. The difference when you go to a hairstyling professional who takes their craft seriously.
I love it. I was relaxed for years before I went natural. Relaxed or being a loose natural is a lifestyle and takes work to maintain. For the past 5yrs now I have worn dread locs as it is low maintenance which I love.
That hair is BEAUTIFUL this Man knows his stuff……..I wish That I could see him………
I want his hands in my head! I want that Stormi transformation 🤩
I am in love with her new hairstyle!
this looks amazing! i'm currently rocking the buzzcut look and i'm not growing out my hair anytime soon but if i ever do pixie cuts would probably be next on the list
Love how it is giving the 90's vibes. Absolutely beautiful. Saw some styles on AllThingsMarie that are worth trying out. And maybe I was waiting for this coz now I think I'm ready😊
Yessssssss
Just want to put it out there that locs are also an option for natural women considering “changing” up their hair. Just putting it out there cause i wish somebody had told me before my relaxing-big chopping-natural-relaxing-big chopping-natural saga
Lol - sounds like my journey
This looks amazing! He did that! 👌🏼This totally elevated her look to another level she looks fire! 🤩🔥🔥🔥❤
that hair really suits you...woah ✨
Greg's hair is GORGEOUS and so is Re'gine's! Honestly, just do whatever floats your boat and feels more convenient to your lifestyle. I have straight, caucasian-ass, shoulder-length hair and I still feel like it's a lot of work to wash and dry my hair. I can imagine curly hair, especially when it's long, must be really time-consuming.
Regardless, that cut was pristine and Re'gine, you look dope!
Greg is knowledgeable okay! 😊 I love how he was able to explain every step of his relaxer process - You go boy😍
It's a cute sassy cut I like it
This makes me want a relaxer😍
Omggg this is so pretty!! I love looking at pixie cuts but don’t think I’d ever be able to rock one… I’d also miss my hair way too much 😂
I have a round face & I've had a pixie haircut for about 20 years
You rocked that cut! Love short hair
I love that they are incorporating more hair content than just regular cuts and colors!
greg has such a great smile
Super gorgeous lady and cut! She looks so pretty and chic with a pixie, I want one too!
That cut is super cute! He did a great job 👍🏽👍🏽
One of my favorite cuts!🤩Great job!!! Watching this makes me want to cut mine again.
Growing up in a salon I can say he is excellent at his craft! Beautiful work.
He’s real good!!!
This just made me want to cut and relax my hair. She looks great! 😍
He's a true pro! He knows exactly what he's doing her hair looks beautiful omg!! She looks amazing.Taking care of relaxed hair & a pixie cut do requires time though.
THIS CUT 🔥
i know relaxers are coming back because everyone is wearing weaves and wigs right now. my question is are there any concerns about fibroids, which have been linked to relaxers?
Truly beautiful! Her stylist is also amazing.
I lovee pixie cuts like this on women
Here me in the mirror trying to do this!!! Beautiful work. Beautiful woman
She is STUNNING😍😍😍She looks so good like whattt😱😱😱
She looks gorgeous it looks amazing on her ! He is an amazing hairstylist and super professional love his personality. He just gained quadruple clients from this video alone haha. Love that relaxers are coming back because not everyone has that time to deal with their natural hair . We’re getting too busy !
Nicely done!
What a great stylist and great client! Love this video feeling good vibes ❤ she's beautiful
🔥 💯 🔥 that was pretty awesome to watch 💕
Fya before the curl.. when you wrap at night the hair will stay for 2 weeks..
Let that sink in!!!!
The Stylist is da Bomb!!!
She looks beautiful!
That stylist energy is so smooth and calming no wonder his work looks so flawless. He really highlighted his client's beauty that was already there😍 Love everything about this❤
I beg to differ that relaxers are easier. Natural hair is quick and easy. Especially if you understand that natural hair needs trims just like relaxed hair. Most people have trouble with their hair if they don’t trim it regularly. I said what I said.
Honey, this video sounded like an S-Curl commercial from the 80's. I don't care what anyone does to their hair, but relaxers aren't a quick and simple "remedy" for anything. That damage WILL catch up with you and now you're investing copious time and money to not look like a scarecrow.
Maybe that wasn’t the best word, but I understood what he meant. I’ve been natural since 2007 and sometimes I miss the convenience of relaxed hair. I’ll never get a relaxer again, though.
@@reneerobinson3559 exactly. A woman can do what she wants with her hair but relaxed hair is not easier than natural hair. They both require maintenance.
@@reneee.6076 In the black community the straight hair was the standard when I was a child. Textured hair was not the norm. I’m from Boston, in my hood all the girls had relaxed hair. I went natural at age 15 in high school. I have had every natural hair style, twa , locs, braids. The lesson that I learned was that my hair is beautiful. We all have to learn to manage what grows out of our heads. A black woman has never seen herself until she see herself with natural hair. Natural hair is such a touchy subject women reject the very ideas that I am speaking about and want to call me a natural hair nazi. All because they don’t appreciate their own natural beauty. Relaxers are poison that many love to use. But we all have our flaws. I hope that all women can see themselves natural and love what they see. Because we are the most beautiful with our own natural beauty.
@@rhondadenis3469 I don’t disagree. I was a child of the 70s and 80s. I had pressed hair, relaxed hair, and a Jheri curl. I understand and support your sentiments and this is why I’m natural now. I absolutely love my natural hair. However, it is okay for me to say that I occasionally miss the convenience of relaxers. I don’t need to be lectured about hair acceptance and the evilness of creamy crack because I sometimes miss having relaxed hair.
He did that!
WOW, just WOW. IM IN LOVE with how this turned out on her. She's gorgeous before and after!
He did that!
She looks SO good. Love this!
Oh, and shoutout to the women who can rock their look without makeup!
Shout out to the ones who rock their look WITH makeup as well! Expressing yourself through makeup is a SKILL and should be celebrated too!
She looks beautiful! Love that cut!
This was a fire cut! It fits her face and features so well!
This is INCREDIBLE!!! So much talent this man had and his client looks AMAZING!!!
FIYAH!!
Looks bomb as fuck! And I love the energy the hair stylist is giving💓
She looks great! The stylist did an excellent job. Reminds me of the Halle Berry pixie cut. And Laura Winslow from Family matters (I think she's beautiful)
She's a beauty 😍
Mannnnnnnn he makes me want to do a pixie chop, 😍😍😍a dream cut of min,but this curly hair of mine idk how to maintain on a daily.
She is so gorgeous and the style turned out amazing! This video was so informative too ♥
That's fire!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤❤
This style was made for her!
Ok Refinery 29!!!! It’s the black content for me!!!
Relaxers are really making a comeback? Awww. 🥺 I love seeing my natural hair sistahs.
This haircut is giving me og Nene Leakes vibes, love it 😍
amaaaaaazing id love to have that cut
Beautiful pixie. ALMOST makes me miss mine. I don’t miss dropping 100 each month!
She looks gorgeous and I adore the hairstylist energy!!!
