    I tried inputting a number other than 100, I tried 226 in periodic table and custom value of 50. I still got the correct answer. I finally understand why "K" proportionality is important. It's used to model equation and to always arrive at the correct answer no matter the value is given. Amazing! For this case, of course if a particular value is given, well a different answer is obtained. Anyways this works like magic lol

    Can you help me in this problem about solving involving exponential growth/decay? Thank you!!!
    Problem:
    Rhyz and Zhayn lives in an island-town with population of 2000 people. They came back from vacation to the island but they catch the highly-contagious COVID-19. A week after their return to their town, they infected 6 more people.
    a. How many will be affected after another week (assuming no health protocols have been practiced.)? Their public health center decides to isolate their town once 30% or more of their people are infected.
    b. After how many weeks will the public health center isolate the town?

    for the question #1 engr, why is it 11.63grams is the answer when the question asked is the "amount remaining in 900yrs"?

    sir bakit po sa #1 problem nag nung nag subtract po kayo ng 0.6% ay ganito x=20-20(0.006), pero sa problem #2 bakit kaiba po ganit po x=100-1.1%? Thank you po

    Sir how po kung ganito yung question, the half-life carbon 14 is known to be 5270 years. doc frankenstein has 300 grams of carbon 14 in his experimental laboratory. if untouched how many of the 300 grams will remain after 1200 years

      ​@@abatandchillmy bad sir😅, it's actually the same procedure, just with a different way of showing solution. I was just confused with it a while ago from the ln. What I did is subtracting the 0.6% from 100% first and multiply it to 20
      Y = Yo e^kt
      100%-0.6% = 99.4% = 0.994
      Y(10) = 20 (0.994)
      Y(10) = 19.88
      subtitute to Y
      19.88 = 20 (e^10k)
      0.994 = e^10k
      ln 0.994 = 10k
      k = ln 0.994/10
      1.
      y(t) = 20e^(ln 0.994/10)t
      t = 10
      10 = 20 e^(ln 0.994/10)t
      1/2 = e^(ln 0.994/10)t
      ln 0.5 = (ln 0.994/10)t
      t = ln 0.5/ln0.994/10
      2.
      t = 1151.78 years
      y(900) = 20e^(ln0.994/10)(900)
      3.
      y(900) = 11.63g
