We take you to the beach and the swim up pool bar for drinks. Then we venture to dinner at a private beachfront area. After this we have fun at the Carnival party and the Piano Bar! Maybe you should stay home. We have been to this resort many times, and if your on vacation to look at all the negatives ,you just might aswell stay home. Jamaicans are the best for hospitality,service at Sandals is better than any other chain resorts out there. This property is the entrance level at Sandals, so, definitely not for those looking for perfection. Sorry, but your video is so negative, that people out there listening to this couples view, please take with a grain of salt. We are Sandals Emerald members, have been to every resort Sandals offers, and have never slept in a unclean room at Sandals Ochi or anywhere. Service as always been excellent,and we also enjoy every minute of paradise,nature offers in the properties that Sandals offers for a fair price. In ending, if you want the better resorts at Sandals, then pay the price! Enjoy your vacations people!
I am happy that you have had good stays at this resort. If you watch our other Vlogs, you will quickly learn we are the first to not complain. I know that it’s hard to understand from this video and this trip experience. If you watch our other Sandals vlogs you will see how many of our servers gave us the incorrect meals, That our drink orders were incorrect, our room was not clean, paying for club Mobay and not getting it, an excursion that went wrong because of sandals doing , and many other things went incorrectly on our trip. I am happy that you have never had an unclean room at this resort, but possibly try putting yourself in our shoes. You would be very upset as well if it happened to you . We were very disappointed as we were very excited to go to this resort. Just this year alone, we have traveled to multiple hotels and areas. This includes Alaska, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Toronto, Bahamas, Niagara Falls, and even more. To be honest, I don’t think we really had a complaint at all on any of those trips. Sadly, this resort for us seemed to be a one off in our good vacations. I wish I could say more positive feedback, the entertainment staff was absolutely fantastic and the resort was beautiful, and the manager Maxine and Ramel were amazing, but we had so many mishaps. I suggest you check out our channel and see our other videos to understand that this is not the normal for us. Sorry to be negative on a resort you obviously really like, sadly we had a bad experience here i truly wish I could say differently. We also talked to many other people at this resort that were extremely disappointed with the trip so unfortunately, we were not the only one with a bad experience that week. I'm glad your trip turned around, I booked Romeo and Juliet room at Ochi for my husband and I anniversary next April, hoping our experience is better, I do want to book the private dinner, I just want to go to the pool and beach and drink Pina Coladas all day.

Glad to see that you did not let that first bad experience ruin your entire trip. It looks like you "salvaged" a nice time. We've been to Sandals about 8 times. Headed back to Ochi in October. Going there because I was shopping price. It was not our "favorite" in terms of beach and romance, but it was definitely out favorite for entertainment and interaction with staff. Not a huge fan of the split resort, but it's no secret that's the way it is. We had a poor experience at "Whitehouse" (now South coast) years ago. There was a wedding party there that basically hi-jacked the resort. They were loud & obnoxious, brought their own boom-boxes on the beach and they had single people in their party that were acting like it was a singles resort. Nudity, vomiting. It definitely disrupted our vacation. I talked with the resort manager and sent a letter to Sandals. Their response was "thank you, we'll include this in our future training." No apology, no future comp of anything, just a Thank You. We've been back to Sandals multiple times since then and will continue to go back. It's a fantastic vacation and even though it seems expensive, when you compare it to an out-of-pocket vacation of similar fashion, it's pretty cheap as long as you take advantage of what they offer. You can have a bad experience anywhere at any time. My suggestion to those looking to go to a Sandals (or any all-inclusive) is to do your research, watch your videos and read reviews. One complaint I read a lot about Ochi is the bus trip from the airport to the resort. That trip is no surprise and it's honestly really cool seeing the inner country. You guys look like a great couple, I'm glad you ended up having some fun.
Thanks so much for the comment! Yes we want to try other resorts by them to see how it is. That’s a shame that group ruined your time that sounds awful. They 100% should’ve compensated or given you something as an apology (even just a free spa service). We hope to go in the future and have a better sandals experience!!
It is a well know fact that butlers can’t save chairs at Ochi because of the number of butler rooms on the resort. Any research about the resort shows that. We were there in October and had any amazing time, didn’t have a butler, and never any trouble finding chairs.

All of the things you list as butler perks are not available at OCHI because the resort is to large to provide for the butler village, most of your issues would fall on your travel agent for not informing you beforehand.
That is what was listed on their website and that is the information they gave us on the phone while booking. And we did not have a travel agent we just went direct with sandals
I was at ochi this October and was severely underwhelmed when comparing it to other sandals resorts. Pay a little extra and go to Dunn's river, south coast, or royal Caribbean
That is interesting to hear, we have been wanting to try out another location, but we are slightly nervous. I’m happy to hear the other locations sound better, we’re definitely going to give it a shot!

I have a trip planned there in May. I think I’m going to keep the scheduled trip. I have a regular room with an awesome price, under $2,000 for 4 nights, so I don’t have to worry about butler service. I noted to book the candlelight dinner. Looks so enjoyable. Can’t wait to see the rest of your trip.

You should have stayed at Airbnb condo like Fisherman's Point or Sandcastles and gone to restaurants in island village like Oceans 11, Margaritaville. Better quality

Are you making a 3rd blog to tell us about the rest of your week? We have a trip booked there for July. I was on the fence about the candle lit dinner but it looked amazing. So I think we are going to book it. We are staying club level without a butler.

We got married at Sandals Ochi - we would not go back - everyone who went to our wedding said the same.

I feel bad that y’all were so disappointed but, it seems like y’all just had it out for the resort. I hope y’all choose somewhere else for what you’re looking for. It’s not always about a RUclips channel. Just go on vacation. Enjoy it and be thankful! For people that have never experienced a vacation like y’all’s, it seems that y’all were a bit overboard. Be humble and be kind and glad that you got to take the vacation. There’s a difference in a terrible time during a vacation and seeming to look entitled in your complaints. Enjoy your life and what you have experienced!! Little things don’t matter so much. Good luck on your next vacay! Hopefully it brings you more joy.
Thanks for the comment, I hope you watch your other videos and see that this was a one off for us. We never come at a resort with the intention of getting RUclips views. I would say 87% of our vacations that we put on this channel are very positive. But unfortunately not every trip can be a good one. We just try to keep our channel, honest and open. we don’t want others wasting money on some thing that in our opinion was not good. I hope you enjoy our other videos and see that this is not our normal, unfortunately, this is just how that trip turned out. But thanks again for your comment!

For what it's worth, I've been 3 times and enjoyed them all! If you're getting a butler, request Michael or Sashimia before you go, and you'll enjoy your trip for sure!👍

The blogger seems to be confused in my opinion. There are butlers and there are butlers that come with a separate cabana rental. The cabana butler would keep the drinks coming among other perks. Your butler will bring you an occasional drink. He will bring you lunch if you ask. He or she will even set you up a steak and lobster lunch at the top of the hill by the cannons. Very cool but you have to ask. They will deliver dinner to your patio if you ask. We have been 4 times and returning in December. I hope you all have a great vacation like we always have. A butler can take it over the top if you communicate well. It is well known butlers do not reserve chairs at Ochi. The blogger was misinformed .

Imagine paying to go on vacation with the intent of looking for stuff to complain about. I just got back from ochi last night and i had a great time. Sure, theres always room for improvement.. that is literally anywhere you go. The only complaint i have is that i had to leave. Anyone on here looking for honest reviews from someone that doesnt look for negatives and just enjoys the opportunity to go on a trip like this and not take it for granted.. do yourself a favor and save up for a trip
I’m sorry you feel that way. We actually travel very often and it’s very rare that we leave a negative review or comment about a place. I hope you have the time to check out our channel further and see that it was a one off for us. We try to keep it honest and unfortunately not every trip is the best trip. We just try to keep it honest on our channel. Take the time to check out our other videos that are very positive! We try to look for the positive and everything but also don’t want people wasting their money in the wrong spot

Not interested in supporting someone via ad revenue, that looks to complain about things just seconds after getting to an all inclusive resort that 99 percent of the worlds population won't ever have the opportunity to experience
