"A whistle stop tour of a painting from start to finish. This one was completed entirely in the studio so it was easier to chronicle. I went to New York to meet this client and did a head study there, then used that as my reference to build the painting. As with all my work, it evolved in layers and this allows me to adapt as challenges appeared - like the stripes which I added to give more structure."
