Gotta love the 90's horror and monsters.
This was not horror
that was long before the 90s
Hercules is lucky to have a good mother like her. She knows he can accomplish something better without killing.
Like what?
What did he "accomplished" here?
This is creature responsible for suffering and death of thousands of people. He could've ended the threat there, but just walk away instead, leaving fate of innocents on whim of a blind chance.
It a lowbrow TV show for kids, don't treat it's meek plot choices as something else than a cop-out.
This scared me as a kid the way CGI never could. There's just something about the heart it takes to make practical special effects and makeup that stands out
CGI can do the same. Bad CGI couldn't and not can bad practical effects.
Are you not able to see that this scene contains CGI? Bad CGI, at that. Modern CGI far surpasses practical effects most of the time. I bet you don't complain about the CGI in Gladiator or Mad Max: Fury Road.
Hercules lineage always amused me. His mother here is the daughter of Perseus. However, like Perseus, Hercules is the son of Zeus. So Hercules is not only Perseus' grandson but also his half-brother. Think about that for a second. Dammit, Zeus!
In mythology I think Hercules could become his own grandpa, like in the Ray Stevens song
@@Giles29 no
Is the bad guy from Karate Kid???? 😂
Yes Kreese!
@@eskanda3434 i looked him up he has been in a ton of stuff apparently lol. IRL I heard he is a sweet heart.
And to think Echidna was portrayed by an American voice actress who do anime characters..
Bridget Hoffman, same voice that did Mahoro Andou from Mahoromatic!
Hercules loves his mother amd willing to do 2hat its takes to make she safe and sounds
Didn’t know John kreese was in this
I can't believe Iolas struggled with the bad guy that much he got one shotted twice lmao
Great action scene! There was never any doubt though that Hercules would emerge victorious!
Imagine if he was black 🤔🚬
@@goodnightmunchie he wasn't so what's your point in saying that?
Mother of all monsters. She was very scary!!!!!
But she reformed!
She was hurting that Hercules killed her kids and all because Hera was using them for evil and Akena never knew
This was some pretty good sh** way back! I always wait for weekly episodes!
What is Sensei John Kreese doing here?
He didn't sweep the leg.
@@amadislugo5334 😂
Its his ancestor
my childhood hercules
1:32 OH YES SHE IS ECHIDNA!
It was sad when his mother passed away
Ay Caramba Hercules
2:10 IOLAUS IS NO RUNT, DEMETRIUS! YOU APOLOIZE FOR THAT INSULT!
Mother of Khymera, Cerberus, Orthros, Ladon, the nemean lion.
Echidna I believe her was.
Was hydra her daughter too as she said in the series
I Used to Watch This Show when I was a Kid It Sucks that they Nerfed Hercules Power so Much he should be Stronger then this he is the Son of Zeus and he went to the Academy on Top of that and Trained for Years, He should Be Throwing people around like Rag Dolls.
I remember a chapter where someone saves Echidna"s child. I cant remember very well.
Yeah, I think Hercules saves one of her kids and they end up becoming friends.
Jenova in Greek myth😯
Echidna's kids were monsters who killed and hurt innocent people.
But under the control of Hera, right?
Yes Hera turned Enhidna's children into evil monsters to of course get Hercules
@@aryaarya2724 They tasted blood, that made them evil.
@@podsmpsg1 Right, and I think somehow Hera was involved too.
@@aryaarya2724 she was.
0:16 but beautiful ones. They too should have all reformed!
Practical effects will always be better than cgi
No, they won't and they aren't. Stop being ignorant.
This scene has plenty of CGI in it.
John fucking Kreese
Better Fitting Fake Teeth might have helped
... might have been able to talk properly
I like full Movies
Greeks have changed a lot since then..
0:24 Not even of him, Iolaus, Xena, Gabrielle, Nebula or Morrigan either!
She is nervous! What a mess!!
She looks like my mother in law
is her medusa
Which came first, this TV episode or the movie Krull?
I liked them both.
Kull the Conqueror was released in 1997.
Hercules the Legendary Journeys started with the TV Movie Prequels to the series in 1994.
And to think the polystyrene boulders on Star Trek were corny. Maybe Green Giant corn started here.
Congrats to Everyone who is Early and Found this Comment 💫
Thanks bro

Childhood 😂😂😂
Hecules vs Cobra kai John Kreese! 🤣🤣
3:37 😂 her screams ahahhaah
Is this cannon?
Canon to what? It's *mythology* and hence not real. Even if it doesn't match any canon, it doesn't matter anyway.
Season and episode?????
2nd season of Herc, "Mother of all Monsters"
3:00
Who were her children? I know that three headed spitter dinosaur from the first Hercules tv movie was.
As well as Stymphalian bird and She demon
You're referring to Hydra
Cerberus, Learnian Hydra, Stymphalian Birds, and a few others. She's called the Mother of Monsters.
@@aryaarya2724 yes The Hydra.
@@aryaarya2724 so the series she has three children.
I really liked the show as a kid, its been like over 25 years since I have seen it. It did NOT hold up, lol. SO bad, I think the effects budget was like a couple hundred bucks. Hercules does the SAME thing every show, he is wimpy and then like remembers "oh I'm Hercules I forgot" and does a burst of strength and the monster/bad guy is like "argh oh no!" as they reel back. EVERY episode.
I really miss the era of actually having straight white men and good-looking women in the cast of a show, something that is getting rare and rare now, but the effects and acting are just horrible, like a bunch of amatures did it in their back yard. even the cave is hilarious, I can just feel how fake the material is through the screen.
