I am not surprised. I was an educator in CFISD and a parent of a student in CFISD. In elementary school, my child was being targeted by his own teachers. He was a quiet child in the gifted and talented program. If he sneezed he got written up. It was ridiculous because as a teacher of 16 years, I knew that what they were doing was "outside of the norm". I did what any parent should, and had to initiate conferences with these teachers on more than one occasion. I operate by the 3 strikes rule, so after the 3rd occasion, I had him moved to another teacher's class who had a different partner teacher, and there were no more problems. My child graduated #2 in his class and went on to attend an Ivy League school where he still earns only A's. If I had let them kill his spirit, he might not have become all he is today.

I’m sure that the good educators remaining might give some lessons of wisdom to their bigots. If any violence happened there in 2016 in their retreat (supposedly a religious Baptist retreat), and one was mistreated while helping someone-guess who gets blamed? The one(s) their supposed Neo leaders harmed. But we must remember the lessons, and not become like the ones who have hatred and bigotry in their hearts. And after the Reconstruction period a deal was made between the U.S.A. and the defeated C.S.A. which resulted in a more profitable form of Black Only Slavery called Separate But Equal. TODAY in the U.S.A. there is "colorblindedness" by law but the rich are still getting richer because their slaves think they are "free" now.
The self awareness is lacking, because dealing with such a serious issue, this mother came looking like a bull in the ring ,that ring in the nose is a distraction...she should not speak..

Another teacher told the kid to act as slave for a day. Both were instructed by teachers to do and if they didn't they would fail the class.
