Honestly… Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time but they had YEARS to give us a PC port… So I couldn’t care less if Fallen Feathers is giving me the fix I deserve 🤷♂️
The only illegal thing here is that from software and Sony doesn't do bloodborne 2 😡😤 Give thanks that someone cares about us, Even if it's a Chinese copy, it's mostly🥰🥵
Unfortunately this isn't anything new, Chinese gaming studios have long had a reputation for ripping off anything and everything under the sun, there isn't much respect for copyright or intellectual property rights over there at all. Check out the F2P mobile Overwatch clone "Hero Mission", it's pretty shameless.
@@marlaoutatsgamingcollectibles y’don’t know the half of it. No wonder China must’ve had so many bootleg game systems in the past (no surprise that they still do). I imagine China’s also behind some mobile game ads which take certain models or music without permission, but who the Hell knows!
People are acting like borrowing assets from other games are a new thing. Don't get me wrong I see the blatent similarities but many developers and games are guilty of doing this. I mean look how many great franchises we got as a result of borrowing from other developers? we got countless great franchises that spawned from taking from others. I'm not saying its necessarily right but considering what we get in the end, I think its a good thing in many ways. It looks like the developers of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers probably got a development kit that FromSoftware use which probably would explain why it looks similar to the Souls games. Personally I do like the aesthetic and look of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers so I can only hope that were shown were placeholder assets until the developers do enough to make it a bit different to the Souls games. Also I think this is the first game that the developers so I would be willing to cut them slack for it.
Geez…it’s not even a Soulslike. It’s just like copying someone else’s homework but changing certain words to make it look original. Which it doesn’t. 😂
I completely agree with you. As I was watching the trailer I started to think if this was some alternate world of Bloodborne or possibly a sequel. The sounds effects, gameplay, and storyline line were extremely similar if not exact to Bloodborne. I don’t think this is right, nor is it legal for a company to copy something and call it their own, it’s plagiarism and an infringement on copyright. I don’t mind other Darksouls/Bloodborne type games but there is nothing unique or original about this game from what I’ve seen. I’m a huge fan of the Darksouls/Bloodborne games, and I think Fromsoftware should investigate this.
i love bloodborne so much that i cant wait to play this game and see whatsup lol. maybe they should have changed the sound effects tho jesus christ lol
I'm totally on board with the possibility because I have played a lot of BB and after about a three minutes into the trailer the attacks, the dodge, the parry(visceral) all animations are too close to Bloodborn's not to have just been ripped, but at the same time I don't know if From cares or could do anything if they wanted to.
This game is set in ancient China, games are not only about mechanics and animation, its also about plot, storyline and lore. Otherwise people just can skip the storyline and make a game of mindless hacking and slashing. Maybe Bloodborne cooperated with this company and they bought the engine, how do you know for sure? Plagiarism doesn't exist in the gaming industry, otherwise you can say fortnite copied pubg. It is the same battle royale game, but everybody can see stylistic and gameplay is different. So your logic is flawed. I applaud game developers creating more games with the same genre, what works it works, and give us more content to play on, there is obviously a market for it, instead of the same franchise over and over again, like final fantasy has become a grotesque uninspired remake of the same.
I don't know man...as a game developper myself, if our sound designer straight up copied the sound design of an other game, and our animators plagiarised the animations, there is NO WAY that would pass.
@@marlaoutatsgamingcollectibles So games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne should own monopoly rights, and no other game vendor can get into the genre ever again? that would be a boring game scene! first of all it is not known yet which platform this game will be released. If its only for the chinese market, then all copyright laws doesn't apply, because China has very loose copyright laws, even chinese can copy each other, they don't mind. for example Tower of Fantasy has exactly the same mechanics as Genshin Impact, and nobody in China is crying about it, because they love content that works, and they cannot get enough of it, so they welcome copies. Second, if this game does goto PC and gameconsole platform, dont you think that vendors like Sony playstation or Steam will block this game if its really a copy? Also if this game is a straight copy, why the release date is 2024? wouldn't it be so easy to release it earlier because if its just a skin over an existing engine? I didn't say you can't make a souls like that has similar mechanics...there is plenty of souls like out there, I play them, that's great. What bothers me is how specific this game is going with copying animations and sounds. Every studio I worked at, that stuff wouldn't pass.
@@marlaoutatsgamingcollectibles Well we will see, if it's really a 1 to 1 copy, then platforms like playstation and steam would never publish it, because of copyright infringements, its too early to assume that's the case. Great minds, warriors, game designers, physics, think and sound alike. Why reinvent the wheel? I notice the dodging is not a 'roll.' It lends itself to a more 'intelligent' feel for the advanced gamer, as opposed to rolling, which is more 'instinct.' THAT, there, is a major change from 'Elden Ring.'
