the biggest issue i have with current is trying to stay with your buddy. a number of times i got ahead of my buddy and went down to the sand stuck in my finger to slow my speed and when my buddy caught up i let go and followed.

A question for you and thanks for all the very useful tips. Any way to the question. Can you dive directly after flying? The logic says you are at the same pressure roughly in a plane as land so can but my local dive shop said otherwise when my son flew in from Paris!!
Obviously after diving we need time to clear out the nitrogen in our blood before flying. There is a shark dive on Mallorca in the Aquarium there that requires 2 day`s after flight arrival! So, you are the expert what are your thoughts? Many thanks

You should be fine diving after a flight. I've been on plenty of dives soon after a flight. Just be sure that you're well hydrated and rested.
I don't think I've ever seen a _pre-_ dive restriction at a dive site and I'd love to ask them the simply question 'Why' they have that policy and if there's any research behind it.

Good job! That was about all the information you get from the PADI drift dive specialty in a 16 min video. 👌🏻You should be a diving instructor! 😉
