When they moved into Met Life with the NFL Giants, the state of New Jersey made the Jets sign an iron clad contract they had to stay in the Meadowlands for at least 25 years or so. Now the Jets has been in Met Life for close to 15 years now, maybe by the 2040 NFL season, they can get their own stadium in NYC proper. Somewhere in Queens would be ideal.
