"Where the Clippers used to play" Regarding the Clippers, they never played at the Forum! The Clippers used to be in New York (as the Buffalo Braves), but ever since they moved to California, they've played at San Diego Sports Arena from 1978 to 1984, the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena from 1984 to 1999, Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim/Honda Center for occasional games from 1994 to 1999, and Staples Center/Crypto Arena before the Intuit Dome.
The Forum was the former home of the LAKERS from 1967 to 1999! But yes, the Forum's owners Madison Square Garden Company sought to block its construction before Ballmer bought it from them for 400 million dollars. MSG used litigation to block construction of the new arena, which they feared would cannibalize the Forum's live events business.

The earliest the Jets can get their own stadium is within 10-15 years from now. When they moved into Met Life with the NFL Giants, the state of New Jersey made the Jets sign an iron clad contract they had to stay in the Meadowlands for at least 25 years or so. Now the Jets has been in Met Life for close to 15 years now, maybe by the 2040 NFL season, they can get their own stadium in NYC proper. Somewhere in Queens would be ideal.

The Athletics played Oakland like a fiddle. They made Oakland and Las Vegas compete against each other in order to get a better deal. They pretended they were committed to staying in Oakland and moving to the Howard Terminal site, while secretly looking at sites in Las Vegas. The City of Oakland, rightfully pissed and realized the Howard Terminal stadium project was all for nothing, stopped working with the Athletics. And the fanbase there is as pissed as the city government. It's a shame because I actually liked the Howard Terminal stadium design, it looked absolutely beautiful.
Apparently, the reason some locals are against Ryan Field is because they don't want the stadium to be used as a commercial concert venue (Northwestern has every right to use the stadium for whatever they want), and complaining about traffic, parking, and noise pollution. If they're so worried about noise, maybe, oh I don't know, NOT live next to a stadium? And traffic congestion and parking? Ryan Field is by both Central on the CTA's Purple Line and Central Street on Metra's Union Pacific North Line. Instead of parking and worrying about traffic, encourage people to TAKE THE TRAIN! Land that is a sea of parking could be used for so much more. Evanston's economy relies on the university. And Evanston is just outside Chicago...urbanism is inevitable.

As a Premier League fan, I am surprised that Everton's new stadium (which is supposed to open next year & replace iconic Goodison Park) isn't on this list. That stadium will be right on the docks of Liverpool & seat 53,000. Hopefully it will host Premier League matches when it opens as Everton have come very close to being relegated the past 2 seasons & needing miracles on the final day of the season to stay in the league. Then when it comes to purposed stadiums, there's the new stadium for Inter & AC Milan which as of writing this may or may not get built depending on what the city of Milan wants to do. The city wants to renovate both clubs current home of San Siro for the 2026 Winter Olympics (in which the San Siro will host the opening & closing ceremonies) but both Inter & AC Milan have said they want to move out & build their own privately funded stadium on the outskirts of the city.

Hey FivePoints, have you ever considered making videos of worldwide Stadiums? I find your Stadium vids to be actually really cool.

I will have lived through 3 different Titans stadiums in my lifetime as a Titans fan. LP Field, Nissan Stadium, and the newly renovated one just recently proposed. Kinda wild how much Nashville has grown since I moved there in 2005. I don’t like it lol

As a honorable mention: I would add the Iron District Stadium that recently started construction near Downtown Milwaukee. Which will be home to a USL expansion team and Marquee University’s soccer team.

As someone from Tampa, they need to move the rays from St.Pete and put them in downtown Tampa. The USF bulls stadium looks like a soccer stadium lol 😂

The fact that football teams in the south, have to have domes is insulting from someone who lives in PA(and our winters aren’t that bad) they get paid millions of dollars, they can play outside

The last thing the Royals need to do is spend money replacing their beautiful ballpark with a generic looking, terribly located, smaller ballpark.
