Ooof, sold a really good M10 for a M11. Feels like that's a bad trade up, the additional cash and everything for a 60MP camera. The additional cash doesn't feel worth it just for an upgrade over the M10 series. But still happy for yeh, enjoy the new M11.
Hi Goughie. Definitely enjoyed this one. I am a lover of Fuij but have now also picked up one of the new Nikon Zf cameras. I probably won't ever buy a Leica, never really been drawn to them but still liked watching you with yours. What was even better though was seeing Florence. I had a great time there about 2 years ago and I have been sitting here going "I was there", "I know where he is", "I remember climbing up there", "I took a couple of shots from that spot" and so on. Very, very enjoyable video. Let's have more like it.
I want to start to try and make this channel a little more gear agnostic! So there will definitely be more travel and general photography videos coming! And Florence was so good! Really enjoyed it! I think we benefited from going slightly out of season!
Good decision on the M11. It is awesome. I too use my iPhone 12 Pro Max and Fuji xpro2 and I sold my XT3. Funnily enough I’m now only using the M11 with 35 m and my iPhone! 😂 enjoy the 111.
Love to see a video on your iPhone video workflow aren’t the files massive do you move them off the phone while on the trip? Sticking with the X-T5, your film sim and Lightroom presets.
The files are silly big! But from making videos I have a couple 1TB SSD drives So at the end of the day I’m moving the files off the phone onto the SSD, and because it’s lots of short clips in total they aren’t thaaat long I know you can record straight to the SSD but that ruins some of the convenience of just having a phone for me
I've been on the fence for so long for a Leica, but ultimately, the Fuji's are so good. I went to Venice with a GFX50R and GF 50, quite similar output I guess to your M10+35. Now I've got the GFX100s and with the GF50 it's a great camera combo for walking about on holiday. As soon as they bring out the X-Pro4 I'm getting one.
Great video as usual. To be honest, I was enjoying the absence of Leica as too many RUclips channels have gradually become 'Leica appreciation societies', which is probably why you are finding getting hold of kit from Leica so difficult. They have so many RUclips channels grovelling at their feet for gear. Please, please, please, keep a balance as not everyone wants to re-mortgage their homes to keep the Leica shareholders happy.
Interesting take for sure! I’m not sure Fuji is really in a different place right now 😂 I also don’t see that much digital leica content on here! See a loooooot of film stuff! I want to try and make the channel a little less geared oriented over the next year! More focus on photography than gear

Yes I noticed that when editing too! A little annoying for sure, worth the trade off of a full sized camera! I think I just need to learn the limitations of the phone! Thank you!
@@Goughie Sure. It’s a common problem with iPhone and I noticed it’s not happening when recording directly from Instagram. I do that for quick social videos with a lot of movements for work. I’ll try with the new Blackmagic app.
You’re going to love the M11: much longer battery life, great photo quality and selection of metering options, and surprisingly easy to use 60MP sensor (that is, the body’s stability is so good that there is no real issue regarding achieving sharp exposures). It will be interesting to see which lenses, aside from your 50mm, you settle on. Apple’s BTS video about professionally filming the latest Apple event entirely with the iPhone 15 Pro serves as a good reminder of just how good the video capabilities are.
I did use the m11 for a day in London last year so I have a bit of an idea on what to expect! I do actually have the M11 in my hands now! I’m sure a video will be dropping shortly!
It’s not been thaaaaat bad! I think it’s more to do with how little progress there is to be made with photography atm! Video was lagging behind But I think we’ve basically reached that point now that all cameras are only marginally better than the ones before, will be interesting to see what the next big thing will be with photography
That's one of problems I have with Leica (other than being prohibitively expensive) - frame lines for 35mm, yes, for 28mm (which I don't have and don't wanna use), but none for the 24, 21, 20 or 18mm without external viewfinder ??? Automatic dealbreaker...
7:58 I had to cringe a bit at that. "Over-exposure problem"?! Mate, you need to learn how to use the meter in your M10. It's not a spot meter, it's center weighted metering - same as on the analog M bodies like the M6 or MP. If you can't get past the learning curve of the center weighted metering on the M10, the M11 is the better choice for you.
