Merry Christmas to all, wherever you are from a southern German stuck in snow-less north-eastern Germany! If you don't celebrate Christmas, have some peaceful days!
Hi Tom, I hope all is well in your backyard. I wonder if I could ask your opinion on a setup I am cobbling together for my one set quiver? I bought some S-Bounds112s and Scarpa T2s. I thought Voiles X2s to join the package. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Iz Ramirez
I do like and ski the T2's with the Switchback X2 binding. I have not skied the SBound 112, but I did have a Switchback X2 mounted on an SBound 125 a few years back that I skied with the Scarpa T4. The 112 / T2 / X2 combo would work just fine as a downhill focused setup and very useable for the approach. My only reservation as a one ski quiver is that it would be a very burley setup for rolling terrain and typical off trail cross country skiing. Since you already have the skis and the boots, one option to consider would be the Voile 3 pin telemark binding over the X2 if you ever think that you might pick up a set of leather boots to use with this ski for distance kick and glide touring. If you only plan to ski with the T2 or maybe with a T4 at some later point and don't envision this as a kick and glide setup, then I think the Switchback is a better choice.
Winter is off to a very slow start here as well. You can tell from all the sagebrush poking through in this video. I hope that it will roar back in January, keep your fingers crossed.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Tom! It's finally snowing here too!!!!
Thats fantastic. Happy skiing.
Happy Christmas Tom. A nice 32 degrees celsius here, some swims in the ocean and a cold beer or two. Hope you have a good season.
Have a great summer down under and thanks for tuning in.
Merry Christmas to you all, Fans and Tom alike. It's winter.. get out there and enjoy the back-country :)
Merry Christmas
Same to you. Enjoy the Holiday season.

Thank you for your thoughts Tom.
Jealous. My Christmas ski: a sub 1km loop of ice and slush. Skating on classic skis because there is no grip and I don't have beater skate skis.
Be thankful. I wish i had slush and ice. We just have mud
