Can't wait for a game that when you cross a border through a glitch or something, you unlock a complete new map with a new story, it won't take long before gamers find a way to go there
Lol it's not like the technology doesn't exist. There's just no point to it. Like you're basically asking "hey, instead of unlocking new maps by progressing the story...can you do it where we have to break the game instead?"
I like how they made it in The Saboteur: If you cross the map, you'll end up in a ww2 battlefield and will be eradicated by a goddamn german aircrafts.
In Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, they sent jets after you if you didn’t get back in the map on time. Whether or not they were Allied jets would depend on what part of the map you were in when you decided to go out of bounds. Decided you want to return to the area that you have to go to that has a big artillery gun or go there before getting said mission? Turn on god mode before you do that or prepare to kiss your ass goodbye because the North Korean jets are gonna make sure you “go missing”.
Just curious if anyone else gets super anxious/panicky when trying to reach the boundaries of games like just cause 2, GTA, etc. Just the idea that I’m getting further and further away from the game world and further into absolute nothingness really gives me the cold sweats. Suffice to say Subnautica was utterly terrifying to me. Being surrounded by nothingness is a huge fear of mine in games. Other good examples are - 4 kings arena in Dark Souls - High lord Wolnir arena in Dark Souls 3 - Dark Link room in Zelda OOT
I thought i was the only one and im not gonna lie bro i've always feared when i tried to go to the N marker on gta san andreas it gives me a weird feeling
mod san andreas and take away the water and the map has a line that if you cross you fall through and get teleported back to the island or the game will crash. its a good chunk outside to explore
@@poweroffriendship2.0 i have that mod and its called gta underground and it comes with gta san andreas multiplayer. its very radical and chaotic sometimes but gangwars in vice city and liberty city and you can buy property and you can recruit the yakuza for your gang in all of liberty and the vercetti gang for your gang in vice city also bullworth is also added to the map above liberty city
GTA SA also has some bygs relating to the endlessness of the world, if you go way too far out, you can ether have new gangs controling areas that are outside their turf, have vehicles fron other areas show up, clear the fog, or break the game's terminators.
Honestly it’s one of the best ways to invoke fear into the player. Subnautica’s Ghost Leviathans are the best example cause you just get dropped into a horror game

I feel like RDR2 does it perfectly, there is no real border. Instead, there’s a river or a mountain depending on what side of the map you’re on, and if you’re smart and good with the game, you can get past it and keep going until the textures fade. There is no real border.
To all saying invis sniper I believe that’s only there if your Arthur trying to glitch into new Austin so it’s more a prevention to you going there before your initially supposed to
Imagine gta 6 was in vice city aka Florida and then when you try to go out the boundaries it shows up a message "you are entering the Bermuda triangle" and then a tornado/vortex kills you
Honestly I love it when games use Sharks or some kind of creature that stalks you and kills you when you stray too far from the map boundaries, it's just a lot more fun to mess around with and a lot more satisfying compared to invisible walls or suddenly dying for not reason.
In polish version of the Witcher 3 the message says: "You've reached the point where the devil says goodnight" which is a proverb for an ass-end of the world. The proverb is also in the books in a literal sense when Dandelion thinks of a title for a new ballade. "Where..." - Dandelion "Goodnight" - Silvan (called by locals "the devil")
you can actually by pass it with a glitch to get to mexico but still its lazy programming. boats are made to float not randomly sink but its like rockstar dont know that.

@@isablisss why do you want Mexico? Why not Guarma? It’s an entire Cuban island, just imagine what that’ll look like. And, Guarma is bigger than both New Austin and Mexico combined. @@Kjrov not every map has to be an island, read the sentences bro. You can surround a map with unscalable mountains, or impassably dangerous territory, or anything that makes it seem like you’re in an ACTUAL PLACE rather than an obviously fake landscape made by some Red Bull chugging comp sci graduates. Can't wait for a game that when you cross a border through a glitch or something, you unlock a complete new map with a new story, it won't take long before gamers find a way to go there
@Adnan Yusuf oh😱😱😱 you a developer???
@Adnan Yusuf red dead redemption 3 and gta 6 crossover?
Yes you actually can iin rdr2 you do a certain glitch that brings you to a map called guarma, search it up.
Lol it's not like the technology doesn't exist. There's just no point to it. Like you're basically asking "hey, instead of unlocking new maps by progressing the story...can you do it where we have to break the game instead?"

Just curious if anyone else gets super anxious/panicky when trying to reach the boundaries of games like just cause 2, GTA, etc. Just the idea that I’m getting further and further away from the game world and further into absolute nothingness really gives me the cold sweats. Suffice to say Subnautica was utterly terrifying to me.
Being surrounded by nothingness is a huge fear of mine in games. Other good examples are
- 4 kings arena in Dark Souls
- High lord Wolnir arena in Dark Souls 3
- Dark Link room in Zelda OOT

I feel like RDR2 does it perfectly, there is no real border. Instead, there’s a river or a mountain depending on what side of the map you’re on, and if you’re smart and good with the game, you can get past it and keep going until the textures fade. There is no real border.
In San Andreas, you can keep going until you die of hunger.

Yeah that's true
In polish version of the Witcher 3 the message says: "You've reached the point where the devil says goodnight" which is a proverb for an ass-end of the world. The proverb is also in the books in a literal sense when Dandelion thinks of a title for a new ballade.
"Where..." - Dandelion
"Goodnight" - Silvan (called by locals "the devil")
In the russian the message says "You stepped on the land of dragons. Go back"
Oh thank you for that ! Never got the joke before !
Also in the Witcher 3 you can go out of the world area and reach the famous painting
in portuguese it says "you reached the end of the world, there are dragons here, turn around."

In red dead, i went to mexico and everything is fricking solid. they have don't have buildings or what not. just a bit of trees and vegetation. outside the borders around the map there is still solid fully developed land with vegetation and trees.
@@isablisss why do you want Mexico? Why not Guarma? It’s an entire Cuban island, just imagine what that’ll look like. And, Guarma is bigger than both New Austin and Mexico combined.
