I haven’t done anything with paper mache since 5th grade, but now I see that I need to explore this medium.
Great job Rod, thanks for the video!

The traditional way of paper mache done in rural India is use of fenugreek seeds which is soaked and grinded well along with soaked old newspaper. The fenugreek seeds have stickiness and blends well with paper. Two things here are fenugreek emits a strange odour which if not used to it will find it strange or may not like it. Secondly also gives yellowish-green tinge when dried. Fenugreek which is widely used in Indian cuisine has medicinal properties, taken for stomach ailments, diabetics, and also for hair growth and so on. Traditional winnowing raft that was once upon a time widely used in rural India for cleaning grains is made by dried palm leaves by weaving. In between small gaps or holes are filled by this paper mache mix during summer and upon drying painted well.
