The anterior neural plate here acts as the primary inducer again which makes the head ectoderm's presumptive lens cell competent to receive the further inducing signanls from the optical vesicle . Basically the bmp4 and fgf8 makes the ectoderm suitable to receive the further signals . I am not qualified to give u the answer I know but still I said what I understood.. hope she replies u
