I think Stratholme is the place you never want to go, like he said there are undeads, ghosts, acolty's but what he has forgotten is that there are even petrified people. You also can just feel what happened to this place.

I gotta say, some of the things I already knew, although I play WoW since 5 years. But some others, like the one with Mor'Ladim or Swamp Eye Jarl, left me with my mouth open. I mean, I completed both quests numerous times, but I never ever knew about the background details.
Duskwood always scared the crap out of me in vanilla wow, running along that dark road from Westfall pre riding skill, hoping not to get ganked. The whole of Kara was pretty unnerving, all those dead spirits going about normal life, eating and dancing in that huge spooky castle. Darkmoon Faire is also creepy af. Hate that place, a sleezy traveling fair on a creepy island. And the quest in Plaguelands to collect little Pamela's things was pretty haunting too, the girl ghost who doesn't know she's dead and wants her doll.
6:30 I liked the option they used to give you were you could bash their skulls in with the shovel instead! xD Guess they must have removed it since then.
Dude. I remember when I first did the quest chain in Hillsbrad and that quest when I was saving the humans I was in shock thinking to myself, "What....the.....fuck........"
Maybe at 11th place I would put Gilneas (non-instance). Those shadow looking throught the windows and the swinging doors makes the place feel like a creepy zone.. maybe because I know it's there and I feel endlessly watched

I used to play world of warcraft and I discovered many creepy places, such as tirisfal glades, eastern plaguelands, ghostlands, dead wind pass, icecrown, undercity, silver pine forest, gilnaes, ruins of lordearon, local forsaken areas, scholomance, andorhal, I mean there are so many creepy places on azeroth.

You forgot the most important part of the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. Turn your Music off and Ambience and Dialogue to max for the entire raid. With a calm and Cold voice, that echos your ears if you have headphones, you will hear the Old One speak to you
Makes me kinda sad that gilneas isn't on here. Went I went back to the ruins it was so suddenly abandoned. the hollow streets that used to be packed, the empty houses with now dead owners still have the lights on as there was no one to turn them off, and the fact that no one is there (except for in a hoard mission) anywhere makes the place feel lonely and unnatural. I myself flew all over the city trying to find one living person, but no one was there. Noone was in the empty lighthouse, all the houses are locked shut, and even the boat reinforcements are crewless as they were all murdered.
my personal all time fauvourite is agammand mills in tirisfal glades, especially it was before cataclysm rework. the atmosphere those rotten mills slowly nodding in the wind with their windows glowing bleak light is just fuckin creepy, especially with all those zombies and ghosts wandering around.
Talking about old zones... If Blizzard will ever make WoW 2 or something they should put in Stratholme and Lordaeron at it's peak, the old Tirisfal Glades when it was like Elwynn Forrest, and Duskwood as the south of Elwynn that you mentioned etc... I would pay my ass for game like that lol

Now as long as I can remember I havent had music on in game, but only sounds (does that make sense?), also I wasnt completely used to english, especially listening to natives do it. So when the cries started, I couldnt make out completely what they said, and asked my guildies "the fuck is that noise?", they never explained it to me though. But one of them said the same thing you did, that when he was raiding this place as current content, they always killed the boss which was emitting the sounds first because it was so so unsettling. Personally I only heard about this lore/story in WoD times I think? And damn, creepy as shit, but cool at the same time :|
What about the Path of Glory in Hellfire? It's a road litteraly paved with countless trampled bones from Hellfire Citadel all the way to the Dark Portal. Or Auchidoun? That gigantic cript that shadows Raven Hill Cemetary in both size and body count where demons torture and harvest souls while others desacrate the cripts for proffit or dark rituals?

So, just gotta get this out there, you could have realistically included Ravenhill, Duskwood, and Duskwood Cemetery all in one. Ravenhill and Duskwood Cemetery (actually called Ravenhill Cmetery) are technically the same place within that zone. Phew.

I don't find the soundtrack in Ahn-Qiraj disturbing at all to be honest. It has a Egyptian feel to it which I really like!
