Aw, thanks!!
This makes me want to learn more about Ancient Rome. It sounds so interesting. By the way, storeys is the correct spelling when talking about levels of a building.
@@steshasaur interesting, I never knew that! Thanks!
Maybe the videogame you were playing was called "Caesar"? I used to play it too!
It was. I was about to comment that too
I loved it!
5:00 You're maybe thinking of the Caesar game series, maybe Caesar II. Plebs needed!
@@hearthseeker2425 That’s probably it!
BTW linda vicks vapocool lozenges will help your throat tremendously
@@grantkermec8411 I’ll have to try that! Thanks!
7:23 I think it’s because we know it was a common place to do business. That’s why we use the word “business” as a euphemism for using the toilet, it’s actually a remnant from that time.
I also found an article of an archeologist talking about that if you’re interested haha
The article also says that, while seats were not divided by anything within the room, the clothes people wore back then provided a barrier to keep skins from touching. As they wore tunicas/robes, clothes could simply be lifted to the waist and then you’d sit down with the fabric closing off the view.
Oh, that's interesting!
Recently i purchased a book about golden age of Roman empire, Pax by Tom Holland. It describes the period from the death of Nero up to Hadrian's rule when Roman empire had its biggest teritory. Still looking for extra free time to read it.
@@BobanG. sounds interesting. Report back!
@@Nofrillsasmr So i am half way through the book and its super interesting (to me). Obviosly not everyone finds this subject interesting. Its history, but not boring history. Its written as a coherent story trying to describe events that were happening throughout whole Roman empire, from the border with Germany to the east in Jerusalem. Im really liking it so far.
