I was going to say from the descriptions here it sounded like Perry was upset that his wife's idea for dancers on the screen was being rejected by the rest of the band. It sounds like she was supposed to be one of the dancers and they said no and then they came back with well what if it was these other girls that we filmed and the band was still like no.

OK, not polite. Perry f*cked things up almost from day 1 and the band have never really come back from that. He demanded a bigger share of the money for writing and just because he was such a great talent, tried to belittle Eric's contribution after he particularly objected to Perry's greed and arrogance and it's been one ego driven substance bubble f*ck up ever since. They should have been as big as Nirvana but instead are in the almost there bickering f*ck up category along with the Pixies and almost every British alternative band that had even the tiniest whisp of success.

Recently saw The Cult. They’ve got it together. Ian’s voice was amazing. Billy’s guitar tone was perfect. Amazing show.
I saw The Cult in Shreveport Louisiana back in like 1991.. Sonic Temple tour..I've been to around 60 concerts,,I have seen some great bands, Tool, Pantera, Metallica, ACDC, Alice in Chains... and The Cult could easily be in my top 3..They came out swinging with New York City and for an hour and a half blew the freaking roof off the arena and closed with Love Removal Machine. I couldn't hear for 2 days...one of the loudest concerts I have ever heard.

Jane’s has been one of my favourite bands since like 1990, so it pains me to say this but I think it may be time to ditch Perry and move on. Someone like Mike Patton would be perfect. The rest of the band is still fairly young and healthy. I would 100% pay to see this lineup with someone like Patton at the helm.

He's a very strong person. His mother and aunt were murdered by her ex-boyfriend when he was young. It took years to get an arrest. Dave made a documentary about it, it's definitely worth checking out. He seems to be a very kind and intelligent man.

Look man, I'm 53 now and all the bands I grew up to are my age or older. At some point people let bygones be bygones, they agree to disagree, egos are put aside and heck, many get sobered up and end up making great music and touring! Yet there are some that just like drama, can't get sober, not taking care of themselves physically, vocally and so on. So here we are with many of our favorite artists falling by the wayside, losing amazing musicians to addiction, suicide etc...let's support our favorite artists, not point fingers, spread negative energy and put others down. Lets face it Perry Farrell got that face we all know that is never gonna be normal and always seems to disappear from the scene. I knew three people that looked and acted like him. All dead now just from doing whacked out stuff. The actor Crispin Glover got the same look and remember the time he almost kicked David Letterman in the face? I thought Farrell was gonna lose it back in the day. But him being nuts is part of why the group is awesome. In this case I judge the book by the cover.

Charging $200 + AUD per ticket is ridiculous. It's only the rich yuppies that go to see these reformed bands. The actual fans can not afford such prices, and those going to see such bands are absolute pricks.

I’m not down with that statement. As a drummer, Stephen Perkins is instrumental (haha!) to the magic in Jane’s Addiction, just like Bill Ward in Black Sabbath, John Bonham in Led Zepelin and I would even say a Dave Abbruzzese in Pearl Jam.
It was not an altercation between Dave and Perry. It was Perry going rogue and Dave being as kind as he could be to de-escalate. Dave was never part of the aggression. 100% of this is on Perry. He sabotaged a very special band and it will never be the same. This enigmatic force of nature in alternative rock that awed us all for decades was destroyed in a few seconds by a fool. Saw you at Aloha Tower in Honolulu in the 90's and was blown away. Then I saw you last August in San Diego and the band killed it except you Perry. Back in the 90's when you witnessed Perry doing "Mountain song" it was a transitional life changing experience. In San Diego a couple months ago it was a weak, old washed up guy that could not sing fiddling about with some electronic device instead of singing. Drinking straight from a bottle of red wine. Getting hammered. Ripping off his fans by being shitfaced.

Let's be real. It is antagonizing Perry by taking away his artistic input stripping them down to a grunge style set with no frills. He's the definition of art rock so no wonder he's frustrated. He started in an art house full of artists, poets, music etc.
As a singer you tend to lose your instrument faster than the other band members. Perry was the weak link in the recent concert I watched while the rest of the band was on fire. Perhaps he realizes this and had a crisis. I say this while also wondering if Chris Cornell had similar feelings during his last show. Feelings of being "washed up".

I have a friend who knows Perry fairly well. He brought Perry to San Diego as a DJ. He killed the floor. My friend is known for party favors and Perry used them quite often. He creeps me out personally but I love Janes Addiction.

I love Dave Nevaro. He is a phenomenal tattooist and musician. Guys like this guy can be tricky because they can turn on you, one moment, and calm the next. I was in a bad car accident. I was in the back with a heavy box of auto parts in a box, or I would have died. Hit my head hard on the window as I was putting the seatbelt on. I had a bad feeling, and just as I was putting the belt, I looked up at the red Streak, and we got T-boned. I have nerve damage in my spine in my neck and lower back. Some can develop serious changes in personality. I am prob wrong because with me I am always joking around enjoying life. Can't walk well but He, we can't stop trying. 😊❤

I hope that this IS the end of their story. Jane's was one of the best bands of all time even through all of it's dysfunction all along. If you were into Jane's...."Jane's is Jane's". All four of them are incredibly artistic and talented beyond words, and that just gunpowder and gasoline while playing with matches. It would have been totally heartbreaking to see these four up on stage in their late 70's totally incapable of honoring the energy that Jane's was in their heyday. It was VOLATILE seeing them back in the 80's and 90's, and this was all just getting a little too "nice". Everyone want's this fairytale ending to a bands legacy, and 99.9% of the time, that's not going to happen. It sure as hell wasn't going to happen with these 4 personalities.
