DC probably should have never introduced the shared universe and continuities (and just kept every book/hero in their own universe and crossovers as not mattering), but nothing to do about it now. I do agree that it’d be nice if they didn’t pretend the mess of the multiverse wasn’t going to forever be a mess.

This is actually a great story darn...Been a long while since DC gave me this good a content.
This is a really good start to a run. Very classic feel but with some new ideas. I also dig the idea of the Society of Mad Scientists.
Damn.. Is this era of DC gonna be.. GOOD?
1. Give protagonist key to evil empire’s infrastructure, resources, and tools
2. Put protagonist in situations that force him/her to rely on them
3. “You still think you’re better than us?”
Angel season 5 vibes from this storyline already.
I remember when that show came out lol, I re watched it last year and it tripped me out since it was a magical time where things like cell phone and phone book/yellow pages were a thing at the same time.
Social media wasn’t really a thing yet and cameras were still analog it was a little slice into that forgotten transitory period

it's really a shame that superman movies have been crap recently becaue there's so much great material to draw from. a horror edged superman movie like this would be amazing but nope, we got emo-superman from snyder and people actually think it was a good movie smfhaha.

Solid start to this new Superman comic. Not a fan of the SuperCorp. It feels like too much of a departure from the way Superman fights crime. I am intrigued by the Lex/Clark team up.

Makes sense. Superman needs rebooting every time there are major changes in news media and transportation. We have AI now. In the 30s, his first save was a train. When planes became mainstream, his first save was an airplane. Newspapers go online? Clark Kent's profession changes.

I fail to see how this is a Reboot of DC. At best it might be a return to Rebirth, at worst just more of what we had. Its not like things have been reset, or even Characters Redone.
Just their usual Soft Reboot attempts. "Fresh Start!" "New Writing Team!" "New Direction!" "Start here!" marketing slogans they love to spout around whenever there is a new direction for the entire line.

So, it's been a while since I was able to read DC comics. I know who Jonathan is, but what happened to Connor? I know something happened to him during the New 52 run involving a mad Kryptonian that resulted in him being replaced by a double ... I THINK the guy he was originally cloned from, but that's the last I heard.

The more I see newer and newer comics from both marvel and dc the more I want to check them out and read or watch the entire continuity, but I don’t know where to start or if there’s a video or playlists with the entire continuity’s
If you check out new Marvel stuff you should check out the new Punisher run, the current volume is great and is almost over.
Start with this superman comic. Dawn of DC is specifically made to be new jumping on points for new readers.

Its not a reboot. Dc hasn't had a reboot in over a decade.
I just read the first chapter, this isn't an actual "reboot" like everyone is saying. The last reboot was 2011 when they introduced New 52. Everything since was just a "soft reboot" - the stories still continue, but the chapter reverts back to #1. For this 2023 series, everything that happened before still matters, but you don't need to know about it to understand the story. I can say this because this is my first on-going superman title in years (I haven't touched a single superman issue since 2011)
