  • As the war rages on in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the families of some of the South African soldiers who were killed, have asked the South African government to consider recalling its peacekeeping troops from the country. The soldiers were killed on separate occasions by M23 rebels.
It is not yet clear when their bodies will be repatriated.

I strongly condemn the President of South Africa's decision to deploy troops to the wrong location, ostensibly to support President Tshisekedi's efforts to bring peace to the area. This move is misguided, considering the DRC has over 200 armed groups operating within its borders. It's unrealistic to expect South African intervention to bring peace. My heartfelt condolences go out to those who have lost loved ones.
The M23 group is fighting for their rights and seeking to bring stability to the DRC, with the ultimate goal of allowing their families, currently displaced in refugee camps, to safely return home.

South Africans are not stupid like you Congolese you want them to fight your war when you're running away from battle field you have to accept that you are cowards I remember one Congolese soldier when they asked him why he is running and he answered that there is no spare part of human. If you're not fighting for your own country no one will do it
