Saw that TV train sev times w/the livestock car first out go by on the Chicago Line in Indiana. Surprised me as I thought that business was long gone by that time. Great video!
meccaturbo Sorry to burst your Pennsylvania bubble. But the 2 light SD45s were EX ERIE LACKAWANNA EL locomotives were unique as to the air horn location was. On the right side of the cab protruding outward. You see I grew up not far from Denville NJ. And we saw all 3 type's of SD locomotives there and other locations. The GEs were different the U33C andU36Cs had there air horns located behind the cab. It all started with the ALCO C425s. Now the SD35 was definitely ex PENNSY! And I believe the switcher may have been. As well.

Wow! You caught a 'Pig Palace' on the Curve!!
Good to have things like this. Those Amtrak trains are pitiful.
Was that a cattle/livestock car right behind the power on the first train??
Scott Taipale Yes,, The last time I saw a Live Stock Movement.. I believe it was a special car as I never saw another..
Cool, CR (ex EL) SD45-2 and SP SD40T-2 duo.

I never realized they used livestock cars into the 80s
Old "TV12-M"...... and which looks like a Cross Brothers cattle car on the head end.
Actually, He didn't slow down enough and had to put it in emergency to keep from entering a restricted block....

How can this video be ten years old? It’s year 2020 and conrail has been gone over 20 years! I’m a bit puzzled?
Refers perhaps when it was uploaded to YT. Not when it was shot.
Quite a bit of ex Pennsy power in this video....that SD45 duo running light, and the SD35 are all ex PRR....on home rails.
