As the description suggests, this is an old drug "scare film" from the 1970s. And indeed I was very scared the first time I saw it. The one saving grace was when Beau said, "Tell us now, Dr. Cohen...." That did it for me - I melted in my chair. Just loved it.
Very good. Huey Lewis and the News are really a part of history now so I quess it is hip to be square.(sorry best I couuld do). I did quite enjoy this film it wasn’t too ridiculous as some others.
Yes ...me. In need of "Reds"(Seconal) please. BAD INSOMNIA & newer meds simply don't work on me very well😑. Price went up 1000% back in 2015 $250 for #100 NOW: $3600+ for the same #100. (SICK😫)...only want #30 & my doc simply refused to write them.. OBVIOUSLY due to high abuse / fatal OD's in the past 87yrs on the market. ( very early retired pharmacist due to M.S. taking me down for the count )😕

This is hilarious ! (as I reach for my next Adderall 30mg pink pill ) but Beau Bridges and his Doc probably would be surprised to know how this shook out by the year 2020 with people like me sporting a quite legal Rx for a very controlled substance that really helps with a diagnosed disorder but causes *very* uncomfortable withdrawal if stopped. It's shifted to the doctor-patient relationship and the legit pharmaceutical business.
I finally kicked amphetamines (prescription of course) 60mg Adderall XR because of the shortages it was hell running out I have been off of it for about five months now and finally feeling better. I'll stick to mushrooms, DMT and herb.
I don’t know about all that when your saying your grabbin another Adderall that sounds recreational to me lol Iam just bugging ya I take methylphenidate 60 mgs a day at 20mg intervals to keep a baseline in my system. The drug works great, better then the alternative!!
I mean, I get his point, we can’t run away from our problems with drugs, but the world he describes sounds like one where people were getting addicted to this perfect drug. Which… ends up making it not a perfect drug after all?
Love these scare tactic films. They used to show us similar films on the projector in dare class. They would also show pictures of sterio type drug addicts on the overhead projector. All while a police officer lies for an hour about how my life is wasted the first hit of reefer. Unfortunately it is now true, you can't buy anything off the street. I only buy my marijuana from a licensed shop.
I know quite a lot about addiction to narcotics even though I never tried oxy's, fentanyl, hydromorphone,, or heroin. My favorites were Ultram, Morphine, Lortab 10 with blue specs, Percocet, Xanax 2mg, Valium, and top it off with, Ambien (name brand only). I am now on something to make me not want those drugs anymore (Thank God).
I think beau bridges and jeff bridges both had swiming pools and everytime they ended up in pool. Like dallas family inlaws oil company showed up. JR in bedroom. Somebody gets knocked in the pool. You people visit inlaws on sunday.

LSD lysergic acid diethylamide 25 is the 25th derivative of ergot and is called acid when produced in a lab and LSD when organically produced as if can naturally be found in grains when in the right environment and conditions. Acid is measured in micro grams or one millionth of a gram (1 micro gram) and as little as 80 micro grams can produce a long acting high in non users. Tolerance builds quite rapidly and you must increase dose by double if using the next day and so on. LSD is a highly potent drug and is very useful in therapeutic settings and applications for those facing death, for chronic pain and cancer patients, for alcoholism and drug addiction and substances such as psilocybin (active ingredient in magic mushrooms) have been used for mental illness and depression as well as addiction and treatment of many psychiatric disorders. LSD and psilocybin have become quite common in therapeutic approaches for many mental and physical disorders or illnesses and treatment is quite effective.
why did they make these things so cool to watch when you are high
Anybody else notice the fact that Beau Bridges looked stoned out of his head?
Yes!
Yeah, he was totally baked
Shit. I remember making this comment a year ago. 🤣🤣🤣

The logic that if there was a perfect pill, surgeons, firefighters, construction workers would take it on the job 👍🏼
5 and a half minutes in, and the narrative goes full...crazy. This is awesome
