I'm not used to only dealing with one anime source, but I'll make an exception for BOCCHI THE ROCK. I thought the song and anime worked well together and knew I had to make an AMV! I hope you enjoy!

Back when Smash Mouth defined the 2000's era at the height of punk rock but with uplifting, optimistic, upbeat songs along with "Average Ordinary Everyday Superhero" that became the soundtrack for The Pacifier (Vin Diesel) and the childhood and teen life only years away prior to the age of social media.
But mixing it with Bocchi's social struggle slapstick humor brings that cultural nostalgia by combining both eras and the formula feels both classic and fresh at the same time. Excellent work. 💓🎸

Congrats on the Nebraskon win! This was my personal favorite. The very first clip had me in stitches immediately. I can just tell it's one of those perfectly chosen clips when you're making AMV that you just know is "the one" and will be the most memorable visual gag. Overall a great tribute to Bocchi the Rock and a song choice that's so ridiculously obvious it makes people wonder why they didn't think of it first. Nice job!!

I didn't really want it to be a romance focused AMV but unfortunately that's what most of the source material options were, haha. Thanks for the sub! I subscribed back and I really enjoy your videos. I have tried drama a couple times and I just can't make anything noteworthy. I have such high respect those who can take a romance focused show and craft such flow and feeling into an amv especially for those like me who haven't seen the source material. @@SonsofKorhal9 I enter videos at both Naka-Kon and Nebraskon every year and I will tell you the Nebraskon contest is easy pickings in the Drama category. There's usually not much competition going up against it that category there lol. I save my higher-energy crowd pleaser ones for Naka-Kon. I love drama, although it's always hard to capture exactly the feelings i want. I tried to dilute the romance aspect of that one and focus more on the characters dealing with depression, but had to leave some of the love story in there for it to make sense. Visually I couldn't think of anything else that fit the song choice as well and I didn't give myself much time to decide. Still, in the end it was the right anime choice and i'm glad that people enjoyed it!
ic ic! I haven't been to Naka-kon ever, so that's interesting to hear! Been around to different cons on the coast but should probably go to some cons closer to home. Those sound like the tough decisions I have encountered with that genre, but you got a good balance on those key features.
