Gotta go fast! Been a while since I made a top 10 video. So here are the fastest circuits we have in Grand Prix Legends, with a few exceptions. Enjoy the video.
As for who set which lap time (which I forgot to include in the video): Tripoli - Pedro Ramalho AVUS - McWolf Spa - Robert Fleurke Reims - Keni Blood Carthage - Renato Jungle Hockenheim - McWolf Le Mans - Keni Blood Brno65 - Iestyn Davies Tandil - Robert Fleurke Monza - Robert Fleurke
Asetto Corsa's GPL is pretty good, but it's just a mod. The historical mod probably comes closest to GPL 2 in my book. But for an actual GPL 2, it has to be a new game built from scratch, and contain all the elements what GPL (incl. +20 years of revamp) so special, but even better.
GrandPrixYannick yes that’s what I’m talking about. Still play gpl to this day but if there was a new game built from the ground up with year 1950 to 1970 or something that would be incredible
@@markjones5163 nope, I like all circuits. Ovals (like Indy 500), street circuits (like Monaco), road courses (like Silverstone), Rovals (Like 24 hours of Daytona), and hybrid road and street circuits (like Le Mans). Not including Indianapolis (an official F1 Championship race at one point) seems silly.
If I were to include ovals, the whole list would probably be just that. That'd make it the video very anticlimatic and boring. Top 10 fastest ovals would also be predictable: the larger the mileage, the faster would be the general consensus.
@@GrandPrixYannick well, explaining it like that in the video would have been better then insulting ovals 😆. I actually wouldn't have found that boring at all. Hmmm..... I probably would have done it as "top 10 fastest tracks that have hosted a grand prize." Then you get Indy and Avus, but you also cut out a lot of other odd tracks and all the other ovals. Next video idea for you perhaps....
that thumbnail got me

Cool idea, there were defenitely some nice surprises in this list.
Would be great to see a similar top list with purpose built tracks only. Not checked Custom Rank data yet, but I would put my bet on Osterreichring :)
You forgot the Grenzlandring. My best lap for the 9.000 km was 1;47.940 = 300.167 km/h.
In the video I mentioned I excluded (quasi)-ovals, like Enna, Brooklands and also *Grenzlandring* falls under that category.
Imagine a gpl 2 or something how awesome that would be
There is a 1967 Grand Prix Legends mod for Assetto Corsa. It's awesome.
Have you tried GPL 2020 demo? Plus GPL got many patches since its release, you can easily call it even GPL3 by now :)

Not only did you exclude ovals, you said they aren't proper circuits.... 🙄 seriously...
Heh. And the wars between the oval guys and the road racing guys ever continue

@@danielfindley6931 I like racing on ovals, but they were built for high speed. Yannick was right to exclude them. I might also have AVUS excluded.
