I think it's cool that you managed somehow to use her LP cut which was a slightly different mix than the one used on the actual tv special. NANCY was so cool - truly an icon for her generation. I think her newer recordings are interesting too, I'm sorry that they don't receive more attention.
I tuned in just to see Dawn Michaels formerly of the Gazzarri Dancers. I was probably about 9 or 10 when this video was made. I guess I was born about 10 years too late. Still love you though, Dawn!
As I said elsewhere... she should've been the female Elvis.. she's absolutely gorgeous, carries a tune well and has great stage presence.. also had daddy standing behind her.. unfortunately he was grabbing all the good songs.. a couple more major hits here or there and she would've been the ultimate.
Ha ha ha... that song is usually made fun of now. People used to say, " Up up and away" when people talk to idealistically. Still though, a fun song in the 70's. Back when people were actually nice to each other even if they didn't know you.
@@user-pq1pv2ob7n The balloon was shown in three different venues, on the ground with the dancers milling about, suspended by a crane when the dancers seemed to be flying but they were jumping on a trampolene sp, and flying with the operator and a guy disguised as Nancy.
Yes, she's pretty, yes she has an okay voice, and yes These Boots were Made For Walking is a great tune, but as I watch this, and think of the big budget for it at the time, she would not have been in this position if she was not Frank Sinatra's daughter. I love ya Nancy but I have to give this a big yawn.
Love this version...got to this page thanks to all these comparisons between Lana Del Rey and her. At least Nancy didn't have to get by with gratuitous whoops!!!
I really love Nancy's wonderfully dynamic version of this very uplifting song.
Sunshine pop! Music used to be made for
the point of making you feel good. Miss it! 🎈
Nancy can do anything. And have fun doing it. And make you have fun watchng her have fun doing it.
How cute. She's terrific in this!
Nancy Sinatra sang very well...
Omg! This is one of my favorite songs in my pre-teens!! Happy memories, thank-you so very much!🤗
SHE DOES a good job on this difficult tune...she looks great in it too ~

Only nancy Sinatra can pull off a Love song to a Balloon ♥ XDDD
I have a feeling that all those fellas in white jeans found love more than anyone else on this shoot.

"You'll never get that damn thing off the ground..." She'd later say...
Wow 😂 entertainment on such a different scope back then

Is that still Hal Blaine on drums?
Man she was hot. She isn't too bad despite being in her 80s
Nancy likes my Gaisano Mall of GenSan
Target Acquired... 😄
Well, that "nowhere" is now full of housing and strip malls now I would think. Fun times back then I would imagine.
@azsteve1 Where was Up Up And Away filmed?
The opening scene was in Thousand Oaks and the ending scene was at the Sepulveda Dam with many other locations in between.
I love you covid19
I’ll have whatever they’re having.
All that land has been developed.
An obvious colleague of Emy Joe of the New Zoo Revue

How could such a fragile woman was able to manage such a huge balloon?
I figure the operator who must have been up with her crouched down out of sight in the basket for those shots where she's apparently alone.
Where you see Nancy in the basket the basket is suspended by a crane. She never flew in the balloon.
@@azsteve48 Or, as an option, they shot the balloon on the ground, and then applied the then special effects

Christ, barreling in that burnt- ridden ugly field, in that beautiful T-Bird my God what a disgrace...
Love Nancy but this was bizarre.
I like 5th dimensions version much better
Now don't get me wrong , Nancy Sinatra and Andy Williams did Great. But it's impossible to improve on Perfection.
Deez boots are made for walkin? Kinda jarring to drop an octave? Mmmmmmmmmm! PWG
I love the fun video but her singing here isn't that great.
