The autotune-heavy style that may have worked when he first started is outdated, oversaturated, and indistinguishable from the millions of other rappers doing the exact same thing. He’s been recycling the same sound since he was a kid, but the game has moved on. If he doesn’t step up, start writing real lyrics, and show some growth in his artistry, he’s going to fade into obscurity. Nobody wants to hear the same song a hundred times-hip-hop is about evolution, not stagnation. It’s time for him to level up or get left behind.
