      Sports with Nick absolutely. There's no defending that one. He's so hellbent on pushing his big baller brand, getting his sons in the nba and attention that he doesn't realize just how much danger he's putting those boys futures in. He's doing all of this for himself now, not for his boys

    • @marcheezy.
      @marcheezy. 6 лет назад +1

      Is it possible for the boys to go back to school regardless of how their careers go? Didn't VC graduate while with the Raptors? My main concern would be wisdom gained through discipline, not textbook education necessarily.

    This need to be said. Let's not pretend like Li Angelo was there to study and become an astrophysicist. Schools are not what they used to be. These schools have programs where they collect these black kids to their basketball/football teams. The only focus these kids and these school have is playing sports. There are some rules that make these kids attend classes. trust me, if it is up to these schools they will not make these kids attend a single class. in conculsion, it doesn't really matter if this kid stayed in UCLA or not.

      I went to a top tier D-1 school. Athletes were there for sports. They all majored in the same "easy" degree program. The same degree could be had down the street at a school where that same degree matters more based on the reputation of the schools. I went to a school that primarily focused on engineering. Most football players were Management majors. That school did not have a top tier Management program.

    Lavar is making great choices, kids dont need school, they need the ability to make money, Lavar is making that possible, most kids in America dont go to college, they work, go to the military or something like that, this father is putting his sons in a position to make millions, and with his shoe brand, the kids can also work with the family business, Lavar is also employing other people as well, I wish Lavar and his family great success, hope they continue to be famous, and make lots of money, then he'll have the last laugh :)

  • @plainsimple244

    Nobody should take anything Ball says seriously unless he doesn't pay his taxes... the man is a business man and he's got everyone else thinking he's serious. I personally think he's funny and it's just something to watch because real news outlets get all emotional over this as news... it's funny and I hope he has 5 more sons who play for the Lakers because the Lakers need all Ball(ers) on their team. By the way the Lakers have a good team this year without Lonzo Ball and I don't know why they either don't move him or put him in a better situation like on the bench or not involved in the offense because he's not involved even when involved.

      Yeah but Jim Jones wasn't a basketball coach and LaVar Ball wasn't the assistant pastor at the church he had. I think LaVar Ball should start a church but don't read any material, just go off the top of his head without the singing and dancing - he doesn't script well... you have to do his stuff live and just let him go and then see where the money train ends... because it is a money train... the only thing is he can't go political because that will ruin his coaching staff.

Funny how you have all these analysts, especially the black ones, acting like if you don't go to college right away, its the crime of the century. Yet, you don't see them applying the same concerns to kids who go pro in other sports. You don't see them worried about the kids that go straight into baseball from high school or the girls who go into tennis, gymnastics, etc.
    No, the hypocrisy here is that THESE CLOWNS want to MOVE THE GOAL POSTS when it comes to blacks but don't say sh^t when whites do the same thing!

I don't agree with Lavar snatching Melo out but let's not amplify the possible impact that that can have on his life.
    Why try to take credit from this father's good work. They must be crazy to think for a second that those kids would've turned out how they did and have gotten where they did without they're father. CC is displacing information, he's lost and is uncomfortable and unfit to discuss issues of race that surfaced here.

    “There will be people that will even defend this”
    YOU GOT DAM RIGHT!!!!! So let’s look at some business aspects first. NCAA athletes are not allowed to make money nor profit off of their own name. That included Gelo. Now he’s able to make it known that he’s a top boss of BBB. And he’ll be allowed to have money in his name. Remember BBB’s net worth shot up to $13.2mill. Meanwhile, all of ya’ll including me barely got 13Bucks in our bank account. Now let’s look at his talent (which a lot of people said he lacked). The most fundamentally sound. Pure sharpshooter, can splash it anywhere he pleases, always at the right place at the right time in the court. And great 1on1 defense. Not as pesty as Lonzo but he got some lockdown in him unlike Lonzo.

      BigMo_BITW so make no money as opposed to letting NCAA make money and possibly get a degree and shot in the NBA? He not gon make money going down his route guaranteed.

    • @BigMo_BITW
      @BigMo_BITW 6 лет назад +2

      FPS Larry III Nice point, however, as an entrepreneur he’s already ahead of most people who’ve had masters & bachelors in business and marketing. Plus without the student loans. Neither was a guarantee regardless so might as well do the unrestricted training. If it works it works. So if he fails, he only has himself to blame instead the thought of higher ups screwing him over. If he somehow fails as an athlete, his brand is still growing and been making national and world news. And if he decides to go back to school, he’ll have more than enough money to afford it, without taking any loans. And yes it’s a risk, a big risk. But sucessful companies and brands had to take those same exact risks. Including Mark Zuckerberg, a college dropout. And all his degrees are probably honorary.

    • @FPSLarryIII
      @FPSLarryIII 6 лет назад +2

      BigMo_BITW and Mark Zuckerberg is a lot smarter than LaVar Ball. His success wasn’t dependent on another family member being good or not. Two totally different scenarios. I’m sure he has partners and people helping him, but he was dependent on whether or not someone else could succeed for him. He played a hand in his own success. LaVar just so happened to have a son good enough to play NBA basketball.

    • @BigMo_BITW
      @BigMo_BITW 6 лет назад

      FPS Larry III Please remember Zuckerberg’s beginning was someone else’s idea. Lavar Ball raised the boys to be 4.0 students. All 3 of them. Yes he WILL get credit for it because he birthed and raised them with all of his heart. And built a future with his bare hands that he’s going to hand over to them when the time is truly right for them to be able to take over. He created this business when the world didn’t even know of their existence. So maybe Zuckerberg may be smarter ON PAPER. Lavar’s taking the same route, same risks. But the comparison is regarding being careful about thinking leaving college is a failure of a choice. Because Gelo has a literal multi-million dollar business that he’s a boss of and it’s time to make moves. If it was someone like ME then yea that’s a dumb choice, because I don’t have a multi-million dollar business to attend to.

    Lavar is doing great. These boys only care and want to play basketball. Education MEANS NOTHING! College gets them a degree for a regular job, these boys wanna play ball, even if it was overseas they would make more money than a degree could give them. Even if these don’t play NBA the brand BBB is their BUISNESS! Grow this buisness and basketball or not they can make millions just off the BRAND!. Grow the brand and grow the bank. Lavar doesn’t believe in the college system. That’s why he says one and done. Colleges just want to make money off these boys, money which these boys could take for themselves. College isn’t the key to millions, buisness is!

I m just saying? pretty sure if the kid leaves school it's because he doesn't want to be there. Also pretty sure the mother has a big part in all of this but Lavar playing the media as usual.

    His kid has had absolutely zero impact on making the Lakers a better team. Incredibly overhyped. Celtics GM Danny Ainge is so flippin thankful the wacked out old man didn't allow the kid to come to Boston for a tryout before the draft now that he has the front runner for rookie of the year in Jayson Tatum, who has been nothing short of sensational Tatum currently LEADS the NBA in 3 pt shooting at almost 50 percent and has shown phenomenal poise for a 19 yr old kid and is 1 of the main reasons the Celtics have the best record in the league.
