You sound like you have a 14-year-old view of history. Your view sounds more like fiction that history to me. The Americans were colonized by Europe because of Columbus "discovering" them. @@jamisojo I have already addressed the point you made before you made it in my comment. Clearly, you are illiterate, lazy, or both. However, I can conjecture, as for the 1000 years pre Columbus setting sail, they were in a state of nearly continuous war. All be it to various degrees. This being said, Columbus was the first to colonize that part of the content. Thus, founded America. However, he was not the only one setting Sail, at the time, for that exact land mass. The Spanish founded more than one colony in the south American area, central American area, and Mexico area. As for France, whom was Britain's most direct competitor, they founded a colony where Canada now stands. Christ over Columbus was coming some of the first dushe bags
I was gonna have my 5 year old watch this, but he wouldn’t understand the words used. Guess it’s for older kids...
He spends a good 5 minutes talking about what a port is, this is for children. Furthermore this entire video leaves out the millions of natives that were killed directly and indirectly by Columbus, he was a genocidal monster and this video doesn't explain any of it.
Teach him the truth about Columbus. Not this happy eurocentric bullshit.
@@delb2192 doesn't genocide require intent?
Don't think anyone intended on giving the people inhabiting the America's smallpox.
@@delb2192 The video is only 5 minutes long. It definitely doesn't talk about ports for 5 minutes.
@@jamisojo Bruh, it's called sarcasm. As for smallpox and other diseases, no that's not genocide but Columbus did commit it. The native population of the island he governed was at one point in the hundreds of thousands and it dropped into the hundreds. It was partly through disease yes but it was also through brutal treatment of the native people, rape, murder, torture, and a whole host of barbaric methods were used to extract wealth out of the native populace.
Yo
