    Loving the bling bling house tour from our brother there. Thanxs a lot seeing how you live brother (if you read this comment) not many would open their homes up like that.
    Blessing to all the brothers (also sisters) making the effort moving abroad. 'It ain't easy'.

    Interesting seeing different types of property. Does anyone know if property prices are still going up in Pakistan 🇵🇰 or are they stable. I've been told that you're going to pay a lot of tax for the purchase of any land or property. Is the tax high 🤔
    Excellent programme 👍 👌 👏

    • @brazensmusings2738
      @brazensmusings2738 Месяц назад

      They are stable at a much lower level currently due to lack of interest from investors, in turn due to unstable political situation and high taxation in lieu of IMF imposed levies.

    Too many rooms for my liking downstairs, and makes garden/swimming pool look a bit cramped for space... Overall looks very nice and good place for family and kids...
    Wonder what the cost is all in for that type of place/area???

      1.5 Kanals isn't that big. Though yes, 1.5 Kanals is on the elite end of the spectrum in Bahria. Usually you have 0.25, 0.5 and 1 Kanal homes. 1.5 - 5 Kanals are premium plots and usually not sold on the open market, rather given as "gifts", if you know what I mean. This guy lucked out with one where the owner lost interest, perhaps due to the real estate market crash that has been going on since a couple of years now.

      @shabayaba123 Thank you very much for the info... and you're right; I've been told RMG are selling 10 marla houses for about 110k, so that would be a 2 storey house with 4 or even 5 bedrooms with en suites, so probably a better investment.

    • @brazensmusings2738
      @brazensmusings2738 Месяц назад

      The land is leased typically on a 99 year tenure which automatically renews. But yes, they can legally revoke it. This only happens in Bahria though, all other schemes or CDA sectors don't have this concept and land is owned.

    can you make a video on Pakistani marriage scams and things to look out for when marrying someone in pakistan ??

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Месяц назад +1

      @RSADYNAMICS This is very difficult. Not everyone is willing to share their story. A lot of people are still stuck in 'difficult' marriages that were never meant to be to 'complete half their deen' but instead full of fraud, scams, lies etc etc.

    • @RSADYNAMICS
      @RSADYNAMICS Месяц назад

      @@MyBritishPakistaniLife thanks

    • @MyBritishPakistaniLife
      @MyBritishPakistaniLife  Месяц назад +2

      @RSADYNAMICS Generally speaking from living in Pakistan. Even amongst cousins, it's hard to get married. You need to have a good job or be born into a wealthier family, etc. (Generally speaking).
      For us, Anglo Pakistanis, getting a British passport, ticks the main box for marriage. Which is why you see age gaps of up to 15 years.
      Even if someone has many previously failed marriages, this is no issue. Generally, the marriage is for a better life rather than for a better spouse.
      I would always ask myself the real question. Would my cousin marry me if I couldn't offer a British passport?
      There is a massive cultural and social norms gap between Pakistanis and British Pakistanis.
      Again, I'm generalising. The cousins in Pakistan main aim will be:
      - send money to parents.
      - build a large house
      - Buy plots
      The real focus in any marriage is to build a relationship with your spouse based on Islamic principles. Make a home based on the Sunnah. Grow together by seeking ilm and practising what you learn. Sharing and growing together.
      These are just a few basic principles for a blessed marriage. If the rich woman thinks the cousin in a village in Pakistan will provide her with everything she needs to grow. Then go for it.
      At the age of 18 when I studied Fiqh surrounding marriage. I learnt that the closer you match your potential spouse, the better.
      So, in essence, the guy should be:
      - similar or higher income
      - similar educational level
      - employed
      - similar age
      - British Pakistani (or any other ethnicity, given that they are British)
      - similar area in the UK
      - share similar hopes and values for the future.
      The list can go on. Like I said, I dis a full fish course on this and have lived here in Pakistan. My advice to everyone would be to marry from Pakistan as your last resort.

      Everybody has their own preference but I myself won't ever invest in Bahria, the developer is a known gangster, who has taken land, forcibly from weak people. Fortunately we KP people are not intimidated instead we get spurred on to retaliate the same way. That's exactly why they have never been able to capture land for any Bahria in Peshawar. Three times they have advertised and sent their goons, all three times they have been beaten black and blue. Last time they came with weapons and never returned.
      The most risk free investments in my opinion are government based, not even DHA, which I personally despise due to its links with the corrupt establishment.There are plenty CDA sectors in Islamabad, and can accommodate any number of people as long as interest is there.
