Our own daily, momentary thoughts are not important. More important are the thoughts we have when in Nature. These thoughts are about the interconnectedness of living things, about ourselves as integral to Life. These are the most important thoughts. Our existence separate from Life is not as important. We are part and parcel of Life. We and our brains are not separate from Life. As part of Life we are immortal.
Yes, there is more to this world than what we perceive through the senses. The senses are in fact only filters of reality. They do not bring us the full picture. The Hindu concept of Brahman is a great start. Brahman is that beyond all dualities, beyond all human thoughts.
You are a Man, thank you so much this is going to help me a lot with understanding his points on transcendentalism and Emerson in general Thank you again, Sir

Can you explain in a bit more detail what the purple shirts that say pink means? Is it just the idea of being given a shirt by society that is purple but we are told it’s pink? This was a great re-introduction to transcendentalism. I feel like at the age of 31 now I can understand and feel these ways of thinking in a much deeper way than when I first heard about them in high school!
