Oh, isn't it just adorable how the little kid risked his life to fetch a white man's precious mango by climbing that tree? 😅 But my, oh my, when the same white man craves injera at a restaurant, suddenly those kids aren't so appealing anymore, are they? How shameful, dear white men.
Kino, sorry for commenting on this idea, the two final mangoes were edible right away, but the one in your hand was a little bit rotten and the boy realised immediately that you didn't deserve to have it. So he re-gave you which he had already taken out of respect and love. The boy is a typical smart Ethiopian boy with composure and humbleness. Keep the good work!
Exactly. This is what I came to comment. We do the same in my culture (Kenya) as a respectful greeting to older people. I have seen South Koreans do the same!
yves i feel happy for u coz after everything u been through in ethiopia this kind of welcoming and everybodies energy towards u is so amazing, enjoy every single of it brother.
the kid and the little girls both offered the best mangoes and switched the mango because its better. you thought they gave you the less ripe one cause they were kids but they gave you the best ones, sweet kids
Your new guide is featuring you when he likes, warning and cursing the children when he feels under competition from those kids🤣. I enjoyed the whole video of people reacting to you and to the camera since I can understand all the languages they're communicating specially Wolaitigna/Gamogna and Amharic.

Yves you are brilliant! I've been watching your videos they're lit 🔥! You are showing the world Unique places and things that others couldn't do it. Absolutely you're a hero 💯
have seen multiple vlogs of yours, love the unscripted nature of all your productions, I've been telling some Ethiopians I know here in Rochester, NY about your vids, they felt proud about what I told them, living vicariously through you, best wishes Yves! glad you made it back to Ethiopia! Be blessed!
That's what I love about our culture, we are brought up to share. And when we share we are thought to share/give the best/better half to the person you are sharing it with. That's why you would see people almost the level of disagreement when they share, they both want to offer the best to each other. I hope it didn't confuse you. But I love that.
Donkey parking in the I love you market! Lovely!! Yves you said that you didn't know what to say as it's been awhile since you vlogged, but in truth, you really don't need to say anything in those moments. They speak for themselves. I know I enjoy the scenery and the people as much as you do.
@@tjdln409 I am sure they are. Although, this channel has shown that it is dangerous to travel to these areas of the world as a European. You cannot deny that, regardless of what western media says.
well the habesha ruined the great black Cushite peoples vibe. even the dude can tell the difference between the cush people like the Oromo, wolayta, hadeya... from the habesha people.
These people are so friendly - this way we all shoul meet new people. Usually people are good and we all have always something in common and we can always share some smiles even we did'n have the same language. Be safe and have a good adventures🤩🙏🏾
having a police escort will surely change their friendliness level. The " ilove you" guy in yellow must be a paid one, or local militia. kino would have received a very different experience walking there on his own. A very enjoyable video to watch though, spent the first half smiling :)
I didn't have a police escort, I just had Sisay, that's all. The improvised guide (I love you guy) was just a friendly guy overexcited because of alcohol and other stuff. He is definitely not a local militia, he was actually annoying many people with his crazy behavior.
17:33 the boy returns the good mango to you saying you better to have the good one. not what you were understand and interpret it. Even all kids pick the mangoes for you and want you to have it.❤
I really like the guide with the red cap. He's really alert and knows what to showcase. He also knows the jokes so when you misinterpreted the chicken guy's quote he informed you it was a joke. It's important to have a guide to get to bring out the true picture and not really your own interpretation of what is happening because you may perceive things different.

Dude you got to respect the warmth and hospitality of african people. Back in France you cant walk into someones home and make kids climb trees for whatever reason, let alone film them.
You are a very brave man for experiencing different cultures and variety of local foods. Things that we could never summon up the courage to even try. So we just have to watch you instead😂 Stay safe.

Just stumbled on your video, showing Ethiopian countryside life to the world. Point of correction about the Eucalyptus; it can be grown in a large variety of climatic conditions. However, it grows best in TROPICAL to temperate climatic areas. So it is indigenous to many African climates. Various species of the RUBBER tree abounds in many parts of west Africa not being introduced from anywhere else. These are native to the individual regions.
