Thanks, Heidi, for your reviews and for showing us beautiful Maine!🌷I’ve started listening to Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout, so I am enjoying a full Maine “experience” at the moment😉Absolutely loving it!
Such interesting books. The Dirty Dancing book sounds so good. I trust your choice in books. Enjoy your nature shots. They are interesting and I miss Maine. The artificial silk girl is 2 books down on my stack of books. I found it tucked in the back of shelf whilest purging books from my library.
Great vlog! I love seeing shots of Maine! I REALLY enjoy Octavia Butlers work…I read Parable of the Sower this year and I had to keep looking at the publishing date b/c of the SPOT ON commentaries to today
Lovely landscapes in your video! I've read one book by Irmgard Keun and it was not very memorable except that I wasn't crazy about her writing style. I listened to an audiobook last year about a female scientist from the late 18th and early 19th century that I would recommend. It is called The Lady and the Octopus by Danna Staaf. Jeanne Villepreux-Power wasn't a trained scientist, but she invented the aquarium and studied Argonaut octopuses. The audio is short and seems like it is for younger readers, but I found it fascinating.
You live in a beautiful area. Is it really so unpopulated?. Water and trees/bush my favourite. As someone else said your cat is gorgeous. Oh yes, good reading week too.🤭
@@penelopegough6050 This is the best question! The county where I live is bigger than the state of Rhode Island but we only have about 35,000 people. So yes, it is that unpopulated. I have to drive 30 miles to get to a small grocery store. Great question!
@@vickicoleman2474 It was too cold. It was a juvenile newt and they get real sluggish when it’s cold. It was about 41 degrees that morning. I picked it up and put it in the grass to give it time to warm up. 😊

Beautiful scenery and kitty footage as always!! ❤❤❤

OMG a non-fic shorty about Dirty Dancing?! I LOVE the sound of this - I'm writing it down immediately ❤️❤️❤️. Awww Maine is so gorgeous 😍.
@@TooManyHeathers I know! Once I heard Dirty Dancing nonfiction, I was totally in! I am so glad it was good!
Libby in the office chair was hilarious. 😻

@@readingbytheriver5752 Thank you! That is lovely to hear! Let me know if you end up reading Silk Girl, what your opinion is of it.
Beyond the Spring is definitely one i should read. And the carbon footprint one looks interesting as well. Great vlog Heidi!
@@TriumphalReads The carbon one is good but mainly focused on the UK. I would like to read one with more focus on the US.

"I carried a water melon" 😄. I started listening to the book on scribd!

Great set of shorties! The dirty dancing book sounds great. We have the 404 inklings in the UK which sounds like a similar series.
@@BookishAdventuresInWellbeing Yes my shorty reading is going well! Some of these cultural criticism/pop culture essay collections really work for me.
The Dirty Dancing book sounds especially interesting. Thanks!
@@HannahsBooks It was a good one and perfect for Shorty September.

Hi Heidi! Irmgard Keun is one author I'd like to try. I was looking at her books at the shop one time but I did not end up buying any at the time.
@@SluggishReader She is one of those authors that one always hears about but never reads! LOL
