    It'll be a tedious task trying to find an OC that's willing to work with Kenny no one wants that chore after 3 QB coaches have worked with him for little to no improvement

    The Steelers aren't close. They are solid middle of the pack and won't move from being average until there's a wholesale change in coaches, from top to bottom. Steelers will be 3rd or 4th in the division for a while.

    They could take a real step backwards next year if they don't Handel the QB situation.a new oc is great but the impact may not be immediately.hopefully the new oc sets Tomlin straight on Pickett who isn't a NFL QB.so will see what QB they get I could see mason walking.but if they botch this by bringing in a washed up Russell Wilson or a Jacoby brissett it could be a throw away year.

    Accurate and timely passing is what the Steelers need to be a Super Bowl contender!! Steelers have not perfect but still very talented receivers which also includes Friermuth!! Steelers have 2 very good running backs!! Steelers when healthy have leaders like Watt and Minkah and Porter Jr who did a very good job rookie season!! The main issue holding the Steelers back is the love affair with Kenny one read Pickett!! Pickett doesn’t see the field quick enough!! Kenny one read misses reads and open receivers way to much!! Pickett arm is backup level quality! Pickett doesn’t throw deep!! All of these things are entirely too much to put at QB1 when you have a very good team on both sides of the ball!! Mason Rudolph does all these things well enough!! Mason Rudolph is head and shoulders over Kenny one read Pickett!! Pickett is 3/10 rating!! Mason Rudolph is 7/10 rating!! Steelers can win with Mason Rudolph!! Steelers can outgain most teams in yards with Mason Rudolph!! If Steelers get a even better QB then Steelers can become a dominant team like the ravens!! Yes the ravens are going to win a Super Bowl!! Michigan Harbaugh just won!! The NFL is not going to pass up the ratings when they also have a Harbaugh!! Steelers need to get back to Super Bowl contending!! It’s definitely not with Kenny one read only Pickett!!

    I know that they called Kenny QB1, but I have to believe it’s largely because he’s the only QB under contract at this point in time. If they liked Kenny more than Mason, then they would have brought Kenny back in but they chose to sit him. I think if Mason comes back, he will be QB1 next season, and if he’s not, Kenny will be on the TIGHTEST leash like Mitch was when Kenny was drafted. Either way, the QB room is dangerously thin right now and the Steelers need to sign a FA (hopefully Mason) and also draft someone in the top 4 rounds

    I defensive coordinator is Tomlin. If they were going to extend Tomlin you know they were keeping Austin. Why is anyone surprised by this? I will reserve judgment on the OC until they’re hired. I hope things get better for us but I am not holding my breath.

    Unfortunately they don't have that with
    Mason or Kenny.

    Steelers have their QB1 in Mason. The Eye Test showed me that Mason is a 6'5" strong arm QB with arm talent, QB IQ, Pocket Presence, Poise, and that can deliver the ball to this talented Group of offensive players. I haven't felt this good about a Steelers QB since Big Ben 2017 Season.
    Mason looked Dam Good and Played very well. We Beat the Bills if the ILB room is not depleted. In Particular Kwon Alexander!
    We need another Lock down CB to pair with JPJ, Center, DT, and ILB.
    The Steelers Have Darius Rush (6'2" 200lbs 4.36) and Cory Trice (6'" 3" 206lbs 4.47)who was having a better Training Camp than JPJ before the injury. The key is can he stay Healthy? Rush was solid in his limited time. Play him!
    Cut Trubisky (3 Mil), Peterson (7 Mil), Cole (5 Mil), Chuks (9Mil) and Robinsons (10Mil)! That's 33 Mil. Do not Resign Levi Wallace. Resign Kwon Alexander and Eric Rower! Pick up Najee 5th year option.
    Draft Center is the first Priority. Draft DT Second Priority, Draft CB and ILB are the 3rd and 4th priorities.
    You Restructure CAM, Ogunjobi, Highsmith or Watt.
    And Add Qualities Veterans through Free Agency. Remember Mason Re-signed with the Steelers last off season. If he wanted to leave he could have. Tomlin Knows Mason is the QB1 Finally!

      @@jamesfetcho6315 I don't know what people don't understand about growth. Watching Mason Stand in the Pocket and quickly digest his progression and deliver the ball to the right WR with accuracy was amazing. Mason QB IQ has grown and he has weapons at his disposal. Imagine an off season and training camp with the 1st team. He will be very effective in the 2024 Regular Season. Mason in the 2022 Preseason threw a 30 + yard TD to Pickens and in 2023 to CAIII. I knew he was ready to be QB1 but drafting KP8 I thought he would be QB2. Never liked the Trubisky signing.

      Agreed he’s really bad. I used to give him the benefit but after watching film of him missing wide open passes, staring down receivers, constantly rolling out left into sacks with a clean pocket, I’ve seen enough. We gave him 2 seasons. Couldn’t even stay healthy.

    As Steeler fans ask yourselves two questions. 1.) Who started the last two games of the season, with both quarterbacks healthy, with playoff hopes on the line? 2.) which quarterback, with both healthy, started the playoff game against the Buffalo Bills? Answer those two questions and it tells you all you need to know. Don’t worry about what is being said, instead look at what has been done.

  • @BLKNGLD247

    You either need an unstoppable offense that can put 40pts on the board or a lights-out defense that keeps you in a game. Better protection for the QB and better run defense and we are there.

  • @valiford2441
    @valiford2441 10 месяцев назад

    Offensive coordinators don't have thousands or even hundreds of positions to pick and choose where they want to go. For an OC to reason "I don't want to go there with Kenny Pickett" is unfathomable. Yinz act like there are open OC positions on LinkedIn and Indeed where they can weigh their options.

  • @xConceptz1
    @xConceptz1 10 месяцев назад +5

    I’d say if not for all the injuries this year, the Steelers are for sure a Super Bowl caliber team now. Now, if we resign Mason and get a good OC, as well as Omar Khan doing his thing this offseason like he did last year… and of course we STAY HEALTHY, this team is 100% a Super Bowl team. If not for the injuries (and ZEBRAS knew how to call games) this team would’ve played Baltimore last week and is currently 2-0 vs Baltimore even when they had every single starter playing. If Baltimore is “Elite” then the Steelers are the best team in the NFL based on head to head record. Step 1 is resigning Mason ASAP

    Again....why are we looking at coaches from a HC that the Steelers have owned. Tomlin has owned McVay. I know it doesn't mean everything, but it means something. Seems like we would look at Offense we have trouble beating....not ones we own. JMO 🤷‍♂️

      Roethlisberger killed the Steelers in the playoffs over the last 10 years. I looked this up, if you remove the jaguar and Browns games in which he threw nine touchdowns in five interceptions, he had eight games where he threw eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. Roethlisberger did not play like a Hall of Famer Over the last 10 years in playoff action
