In today’s video, we’re looking at SBMM in COD Mobile.
SBMM stands for skill based match making and it’s a term used to describe how a game's algorithm matches players up against each other.
In Call of Duty, the idea behind skill-based matchmaking is to place you in lobbies with players of a similar skill level. Skill-based matchmaking is meant to be a good thing. By design, it's supposed to give you fun-but-challenging multiplayer experiences, but this just isn’t the case. Not only for me, but many other players too. And it’s not only in this game either, but in various other Call of Duty titles.
This is more of a commentary style video, talking and discussing topics in COD Mobile. It was a lot of fun to make and to edit, so I hope it was worth the watch :)

that first and second tweet is me aswell, i thought it was just me getting bots on my team when i’m sweating. i’m over here like 20-1 every game while my teammates are like 2-7 that’s the reason i don’t play snd anymore. makes me wanna start playing with friends. if there were people in my team with my skill level we’d literally win every game
That’s exactly what I’m saying bro, instead of SBMM trying to level out my KD, they should place similarly skilled players in my lobbies, so I can actually enjoy ranked.
I’m just hard carrying every game and still losing. It’s not fun at all 😭

Forced to br where there's no squads I'm so bored and I wanna play CodM and there's nobody to play with that isn't under level 100 basically this games dying a horrible death I never found a team in 5 years I was too good for my server so NOBODY I PLAY WITH SPEAKS ENGLISH ITS ALWAYS SPANISH NOOBS
And the Spanish noobs suck now they were way better back in the day and now all they do is camp and hide being a no mic was ok now they're all using ravager and suck what am I supposed to do uninstall? 50k in blueprints and I just feel stupid because I knew the servers were empty AF years ago but now... Now it's worse. You get lost in the noobs and stuck in losing brackets you can't crawl back to the real players AT ALL or it's back to bots
The way it happens to me,
My team and I would murder in hardpoint for 4 games or so, then we are ranked with a full team of highly skilled players and then we get ripped apart
If we do well against the teams, it won’t get better.
It’s either we slay or get slayed, nothing in between
And you can definitely tell the difference in skilled players.

I play tdm and i usually have to kill more than 20 enemies to could win cuz if i dont i loose cuz my teammates only kills 7 peoples and deads 13 times...

Taking a well deserved hiatus from ranked 😭
As a newcomer to shooters in general, is just sad to see people at LV 150 with gold camos sliding and crushing my head over and over again and then just be paired with bots later.
It feel unatural. And I am shit at this game so it just worsen the feeling.
I feel you. It's one extreme or another in my case: people way better than me and complete bots. It's occasional when i feel like i'm against someone with my capacities.
yea SBMM is messed up… i tend to go in hardpoint and top frag with 30-40 kills while my teamates are like 10-15 kills… 😑 i lose alot of ranked matches bc of trash teammates luckily… i dont lose xp.. i get more xp bc how much kills i have and how i top frag…
Yeah exactly that bro, it just takes away all the fun from ranked. I lose almost every game while hard carrying because of poor matchmaking :/

I completly agree with everything you said and let me tell you i get 3 swarms 3 advanced uav spawntrapping the enemies and WITH the advanced uav my teamates are still dying. How is that possible you legit see the enemy and which direction he is facing and you still die. Do you know what prefire is?😭😭. Yea SBMM is crap. Its even worse in cold war and modern warfare. Imagine dropping a nuke in ranked and you still lose. That legit happens to me almost every single time

I got STMN Grizz and Trovo ppl on the enemy team one time yeah at the end I had 50 kills ( it's bcs it was nuketown and the match went really long) I stopped caring about winning after that match, now I'm a sniper clip player could care less about winning or losing
3 of them went on an 15 streak in that match luckily tho I didn't get nuked (I'm surprised to lol)
Teammates went 0-29, 16-46, 20-50 and 22-33 respectively
I kinda regret reaching legendary so early this season, even "pro players" in garena are using persistence.

Crazy because I got a 1.57 kd this rank season, and I keep getting matched up with cracked out sniper users who don't miss a single fucking shot, and I got players that are not only brain dead but camp and not even good at that.

I get a minimum of 3 bots on my team playing ranked
While ranking up I had a 52 - 0 gameplay in domination grandmaster 4 and the players were real not bots…I know I’m pretty good but still if you are really matching me up with players of equivalent skill level then why did I go on a 52 killstreak in a rank match against real players?And my teammates were decent but their performance were still no where near mines…To put it into perspective I had more kills than the other 4 combined on my team…I had no satisfaction since getting games like that is easy in grandmaster 4…What’s so fun about crushing players who aren’t my skill when playing against decent players is more satisfying…And my kd is only 2.60 in GM 4 right now(2.05 in legendary rank)that also means 52.0/2.60 = 20 times better than I normally would do…Like how does the average player get a game 20x better than they would normally do in rank?I have never seen a player with 1.0 kd avg in legendary get a 20.0 kd game before…And I could get games as low as 9/12 in GM…This is an extreme example of sbmm rigging your avg performance to either do extremely good or extremely bad…Like why does that exist?

Hi, i just came here, i just lost a rank, and got mad. You may ask why, well im in a lobby with 3 top 5000 players, one simple legendary, i have just 9.6k points like wth...
I ended up losing obviously, but overfragging the top 5k players, they started talkin shit like everyone does and i just took a break right now.

Well they added sbmm to pub matches as well. Sure , as if the fact that i get braindead teammates in ranked while i go up against pro players ain't annoying in itself . Now i have to play against pro players in pub matches when all I'm trying to do is chill? Bruv I'm that guy who only uses the meta in ranked , in pubs I'm always running off meta weapons because it's generally always been less sweaty so why should I use the best weapons in the game if I'm fairly confident in my gunskill when I'm paired up with average to below average players ? Idk who's idea it was to implement more stringent sbmm in pubs but ever since the update the only people I've been going up against on shipment are S1 , S2 legendary players with a 2.3+ overall KDA and 130000 kills to boot. I don't understand why tencent felt the need to do this but the game isn't fun to play anymore . Pub matches feel like ranked now smh

I cant even play out of my matches dude in br theres so many noobs getting ready for wzm theres nobody to q with i spend all night qing and its battle pass noobs and little ravager scrubs i finally get a team thats not terrible its an all bot game and one squad ganks us multiplayer is just pointless fun you keep shooting and the team does nothing for like A YEAR straight you just cant do it anymore im trapped in a 3.7 kd circle because ive played since day 1 and never touched Multiplayer i only play rank

Yeah, same here. I think a lot of players do too for that same reason. The only issue, however, is when your teammates can’t keep up, so you’re constantly having to 1v5 the other team. It’s not fun at that point because you have no back up from your team, whereas your teammates naturally should be able to offer some support and not continuously feed the enemy team score streaks freeing up the objectives for the enemies to easily capture. Do you understand where I’m coming from?
After so long carrying is just ridiculous. It's absolutely trash. I got top 11 on Alcatraz and I'm trapped fighting full clans with little timmies. I've grown a full on hate for siren players because I've seen the worst plays

@@kareemfowler5328 If you’ve only started playing recently, I get that. Takes a while to get used to the mechanics. Once you get used to the movement and stuff, it’s pretty easy to keep up.

They should just remove sbmm
I think instead of removing it, SBMM should be reworked, so we get better teammates. That’s the only thing that is scuffed with SBMM atm. If that issue is fixed, I’d have nothing else to complain about. If SBMM is removed entirely, I feel like it would ruin ranked completely
@@ObitoUchihaTheGoat i Mean, Sbmm wasnt there at the begnning for a couple of seasons and it workt well. but if the sbmm would be good, it probably wouldnt make fun anymore to play if your good. you would only get a 1 K/D maybe a bit higher. also it would take way longer to look for matches.
