  • 19-year-old Chinese swimmer Pan Zhanle unexpectedly smashed the 100m Freestyle World Record, at the World Championships in Doha on 11th February 2024. He touched in a time of 46.80s! This lowers the previous WR, set by David Popovici in August 2022, by 0.06s, down from 46.86s. Congratulations to Pan!

    Congratz, Pan Zhanle. Great swimmer.

  • @kevindrdrill
    @kevindrdrill 2 месяца назад +19

    The thing I love about Pan’s stroke technique is how fast, but yet smoothly efficient his arm movement is. His arms during the recovery are so close to the water so he doesn’t waste any movement before reentering the water

    • @Queenfisher444
      @Queenfisher444 2 месяца назад

      Being close to the water doesn’t necessarily mean efficiency. I’d argue he is using a more lateral path to generate greater underwater torsion.
      Momentum is more important that recovery in sprinting.

    • @kevindrdrill
      @kevindrdrill 2 месяца назад +1

      @@Queenfisher444 I don’t disagree but what I’m trying to say is that since his arms are already so much closer to the water in the recovery, he’s basically already started the catch phase in a sense

    I predicted four months ago that Pan Zhanle would break the world record because he almost broke the world record at the Asian Games. In an interview, he said that he was "not satisfied with the world record result of 46.80" because his usual training results were faster than this result.

    Pan Zhanle is 19 and the former record holder is 17. But what many people ignore or don't know is that the development of yellow people is 2-3 years later than that of white/black people.
    Therefore, the physiological state of these two players is almost the same, and they are still some distance from their peak.
    In the future, they will have higher-level competitions.

    I see some Westerners slandering the achievements of Chinese athletes. Your slanders cannot change the achievements of the Chinese. One statistic left out. Popovici = clean | Zhanle = on the PED'S. Why? My good trusted friend had an ex Chinese swimmer colleague. She said that they had to take PED'S as part of the program. They were told the only choice that theu had was, either you take it as a pill or a gel. That's it. All Chinese swimmers are dubious to me for that reason. Pisses me off.

    • @Bennychu720
      @Bennychu720 3 месяца назад +25

      Do you have any actual proof as in the form of documents or the swimmers admitting it? If not, then they’re not on the PEDs. Also why don’t you name drop your “good trusted friend” so we can know if this friend you’re talking about is a legit person or if you’re just making it up.
      Also, speaking of good trusted friends, I have a friend who had a Romanian swimmer friend and he said the swimmers had to take PEDs as part of the program, either in the form of a pill or an injection so I don’t know what you’re talking about when you’re saying that Popovici is clean.

      Anyone can spread rumors. I also said that a friend of mine in the American swimming industry told me that the United States must use stimulants. Moreover, according to hackers, there are indeed many athletes in the United States who use stimulants in an organized manner, so it is not surprising to think that they have so many asthma and depression patients. At last, stimulants don't originally come from China.
