Samurai flicks and anime are 2of my favs (next to heavy psychedelic rock) though so maybe I'm biased just by that, but from what I've found this transcends everything else I've heard from him

Just saw Sound and Fury last night and it’s brilliant!! Completely enthralled by the artistry and wall of sound on display. A truly original experience that’s is not typical in today’s cookie cutter world. A must watch for anyone.
One of the studios that help with the movie is the first American owned anime studio. They are called D'art shtajio based in Tokyo. They are new in the game and really good at what they do. 👍🏾
But to really appreciate Trust and Betrayal you really have to read the Rurouni Kenshin manga, or at least watch the anime that precedes Trust & Betrayal.

As a gen x'er growing up I watched GForce, Robotech, Space Battleship Yamato, Voltron, etc. which led to Appleseed, Ghost in a Shell, The Light and Darkness War, Afro Samurai, Samurai Jack, etc. Those comics/cartoons along with some other stuff like Judge Dredd, White Dwarf, etc. always seemed way more interesting than the rest of the stuff out there. Cool stuff Sturgill and thanks Joe for having him on.
I watched the Netflix movie/music video and I can say that his music was an awesome refresher and you could tell the animators were really into it having their creative ability let off the chains.
