The Jupiter (officially known as Central Pacific Railroad #60) was a 4-4-0 steam locomotive owned by the Central Pacific Railroad. It made history when it joined the Union Pacific No. 119 at Promontory Summit, Utah, during the Golden Spike ceremony commemorating the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad in 1869. She was a part of the "Big Four" built in September 1868 by the Schenectady Locomotive Works of New York. Her class was the 4-4-0 "American"
7:13 the driver wheels must be about as tall as a full grown man maybe, the bigger the are wheels, the faster they go, the smaller the wheels are the more powerful they are
Jupiter is a Central Pacific Railroad 4-4-0 American Type steam locomotive that was built during the mid 1800's, it was originally a narrow gauge locomotive, but unfortunately, the actual one was scrapped, so the current one here is a replica of the actual one, the American Types are one of the most iconic American steam locomotives in the world because of their many appearances in old wild western movies
The JUPITER is a classic American 4-4-0. That's all I know about it, other than the fact that 4-4-0s and 4-6-0s dominated American and Canadian Railroads through out the 1800s and The JUPITER was involved in The Great Locomotive Chase. Also, it's funny how a classic American 4-4-0 like JUPITER from 1855 absolutely out ran a 1930s Black 5
Black Five vs Duchess of Hamilton will be interesting, I don't know which one would win, compare do this where at the beginning I was very confident Jupiter would pull away. But remember, make the track shorter if you're running those 2
Hey a PC game close to my heart Foxhole is releasing fully player built trains and rails next week. Would like to see a pro train guy show us how it's done!
A beautiful simulation of my favorite locomotive. Could I ask you to make a few minutes of a video with the shot from 7:25 to 7:28? I'd like to make music for it. I would be grateful for such a film. Regards
Recently i had an argument with someone. He thought that racing steam engines is a dumb idea because they have a maximum that they cant overcome. He does like car races though and doesnt see that in his logic, car racing is useless. whats your opinion?
Well youve done something to them black 5s then, considering the fact they do 60+ on the mainline whenever in service, and can easily do 70 in TS.................
i really enjoyed the video but ther's a thing i can't understand... i'm not an expert but i'm pretty sure ther's something wrong, the black five should be a lot faster... i mean, it was built a lot later and should be able to reach at least 80/85 mph?
you should to a race with smokey joe and the big shot express (2 very speedy tank engines lol)

The big thing on the front of Jupiter is a cow catcher, which was utilized for pushing cattle off the tracks, not actually catching them 😅
Even though she technically lost the race of being the slowest, I'm still happy to see the ol' Standard American type killed it with her speed. XD
jupiter my boi, good job and i also didnt know jupiter could go that fast
Jupiter is an "American Standard" or simply an "American"
Power of amarica., fast, heavy, and strong locomotives!
I’m glad I requested this!! It’s really silly but it’s fun!!!

heres an interesting idea, a race of early victorian locomotives like rocket and jupiter really old engines like that
But the Central Pacific #60 Jupiter 'American' Class locomotive isn't really a early victorian era, its more early wild west I'd say.

Recently i had an argument with someone. He thought that racing steam engines is a dumb idea because they have a maximum that they cant overcome. He does like car races though and doesnt see that in his logic, car racing is useless. whats your opinion?
I feel like if anything, car speeds are more set in stone.
Every race can be fun if you like ir and have good ideas, everyone likes whatever they like, but they also must be respectful to others
Should have had duchess of Hamilton, for Britain
it is possible to make the jupiter reach more than 140 kpm in the game?
Do : if The queens body does go by train, recreate it
The one with the blue friend is called a 440 type steam engine
I'm from Hampshire too
Jupiter is one of the golden spike railway engines that connected the east and west but it was scraped but there is a replica of the Jupiter

Do a fan meet up in Margate Beach
i was cheering for the black 5. Im sure the black 5 is faster than that.
Hi lazer can you do express diesle engine race
I just realized how recently this was posted
Me
Under normal game play i have gotten the american 440 up to 45mph in bursts can hold 36-37mph with full boiler pressure
The black 5 in reality would of overtake the Jupiter because Jupiter top speed is 50/60 compared to the black 5s 120mph.
Um actually its fastest speed by a black 5 is 96.6 mhp
WE ARE HEJAAAAAA AND THE BLACK 5 IS HEJAAAAA
Do I need to buy UK edition for British Steam Loco ?
