[Eng Sub] Geneva Diplomatic Showdown: Forced Repatriation of North Korean Escapees by China

The 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council was held in Geneva, Switzerland. During the discussions on North Korean human rights, which began on March 15, the key agenda items included the 10th anniversary of the UN Commission of Inquiry (COI) report on North Korean human rights and the issue of forced repatriation of North Korean escapees. This event was a gathering of victims of forced repatriation and their families, as well as representatives from various countries fighting for North Korean human rights, appealing for international attention. It was also a site of intense diplomatic tension with the Chinese and North Korean delegations, and the North Korean escapees and the international community. Radio Free Asia accompanied these escapees and human rights activists who gathered in Geneva for their 8-day journey, exploring the significance of their tears and efforts.
