I own that version of the Briolette. If you get ink inside the cap or barrel it WILL stain. I didn't dropper-fill mine, but I accidentally dropped it. I rinsed it out immediately and then used a cotton swab to dry it, but it shows, and because the cap is semi-translucent you can see the stain from the outside. I still use the pen, and second Kerry's remarks.
Thanks for the comparisons between the different BENU models. Have to say I like the look of the Briolette best as the clips on these pens feel kinda superfluous to me. Happy birthday!
Benu pens are BEAUTIFUL!! Love that the cap is both phosphorescent and translucent at the same time. Sorry, but you may need to enter a Benu 12-Step program, LOL! 😆
I purchased a Briolette with Christmas money, and I love it! It fits my hand so well, the design is great, and the sparkle is a delight! Mine has a medium nib which writes more like a broad and is very smooth. Great pens! Thanks for your review, and I'm always interested in every morsel of Benu content you post.
I was looking forward to your review on this pen. I love the Briolettes, and I was surprised when it became my everyday writer over my Euphoria and Talismans. It’s like a sparkly fidget toy with the facets:) My #5 fine nib turned into a fine/med with use but no complaints. Lovely pen.
I got a Benu for my birthday two weeks ago as well! It’s a Briolette but not luminous; the Arabian Night. It’s gorgeous and i love that name, my earliest childhood memories with my father was him reading to us the Tales of the Arabian Nights. Have to inked it up yet cos I’m still deciding on a suitable ink.
So far, I only have a beautiful Talisman, which surprised me so much. I had always rejected the glitz and glamour and shimmer of the brand. To my delight, it is wet, smooth and comfortable to use. And fun to look at. I love the coffee brown and your amber….😂 trying to check out new brands rather than accumulating more of the same but it’s a difficult thing to do. You really have fallen down the deep rabbit hole.
You are making me very curious about the Benu pens. I have held a few in my hands and I found them a bit light to my liking (because I love my metal pens). But I think in the end, there will probably be a Benu in my collection, just because they are so pretty and a woman from Canada is so in love with them 😍😂 As for a comparison video, I think I would like that. But don't do it if I'm the only one asking, of course :)
Lovely review as ever, for a lovely pen. I do appreciate that you address eyedropper filling. Staining might well be an issue. Besides, to be perfectly frank, I enjoy switching inks so often that even cartridge-converters seem way capacious to me!
This pen was my first and only BENU pens that I've had for about a year until just recently I acquired Venus' Hair... I'm with you, and prefer the Briolette over the Talisman!! I have yet to get a Euphoria.. I've been eyeing one, but I'm holding and hoping for a new color release that really speaks to me...
Love Benu's focus on form and function. I've long avoided pens that seemed more decorative than functional but Benu seems to have an edge and I'm so tempted. I was originally considering a Pilot 912 with either a soft fine or FA nib. As you have a 912 yourself, if faced with having to unload a Benu or the 912, which would you chose to hold onto? I know it's such an unfair question so please forgive me 😹.
My only complaint about all the Benu content is the effect it has on my wallet... They are such lovely pens, and you got me to pull the trigger on the Forest Pond.
I consider buying a BENU pen, but I am not sure about the model. Can someone tell which of these is more ergonomic for small woman's hands: Scepter/GrandScepter/Euphoria/Talisman ???
Yeah, big step-downs are an issue for me, as they invariably dig into my finger 😞 That's the main reason I was diverted from the first aim of my dive into the hobby (the search for wooden pens).
Eh gads - no way could I ever write with that.. Sooo distracting for someone like me :( I like plain non-shiny. But we each have our foibles. Happy birthday by the way.
Yes for a comparison of the three!

Thanks for the review and sure, a 3 Benz model comparison would be great.
It is a beautiful pen. You have some spectacular Benu pens.

Outstanding pen and a very nice review. I have inked mine always with Cafe Crema. I’ve never changed . The Euphoria is also my favorite model.
I would love a comparison. So far, I only own Briolettes. Thank you for the review!
Yes please do a comparison video!!! ❤
would be very interested to see a comparison of the three Benu models you have
Yay! 😃

You are not the only one. 🤓
@@DasOrangensaft. Hahaha ❤️ Benu must be happy with that!
@@jolienkrispijn Just was referring to the comparison video thing, but yeah - you're still right. 😅
@@DasOrangensaft. Ahhh oops, i misunderstood.
Oooooh, shiiiiiiiny.... Thanks for the great review!
Two Benu's coming my way...all because of you!! 😀💕
My Benu obsession started with your videos lol I currently have 3, 4th just shipped lol and I hope my next one is a Euphoria

Your videos always make me want to buy a Benu. I haven't just yet but it might be next on the list!
Dooooo iiiitttttt
You’ve almost got me interested in a Benu now. I just wish there always some less sparkly ones.
Maybe the cultpens exclusive 'autumn forest' would suit you?
@@DasOrangensaft. thanks for the suggestion. That does look rather nice!
@@adamzappia2213 Sure. ☺️

I vote for a comparison of all three styles. It should be interesting.

You sounded like an Irish Mrs. Doubtfire. 😂
You have the kind of problem I would like to have. Benu make some incredible looking pens.
Sure, do a comparison.

A Benu! How unexpected! 😆 😉
It is beautiful, though. Hope you had an awesome birthday 🎂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks
