You are, by far, the best when it comes to Apple tech reviews
After using similar icon packs on android, i can tell you the problem with having all icons in same color is that it makes it much harder to find them.
We navigate with color quite a lot, form is not as quick for humans to recognize, color is faster.
This is why it always takes me longer to distinguish between each Google app
That's optional...
Its just ridiculous to take any colour/contrast out of the UI, wheras in MacOS they're bringing back coloured folders for faster recognition.
Download the UI Niagra
I have the "Lines" app icon pack for my android. And I love it. No colors. BUT, it also doesn't have squares around it, so everything is it's own shape. So instead of navigating with color, I navigate easily by shape. On this new "Liquid Glass" they're all squares with the icon within, making it way harder to quickly navigate them. I think it looks horrible.
Old folks and people with vision issues are probably not going to use this!

That's the problem with overdoing transparency. Good design means you don't have to worry about the mere choice of theme colours or wallpapers impeding basic things like readability and accessibility.

This. It’s in the biography as well.
I thought about this a lot when I bought my Macbook Pro and I just completely stopped using my iPad. I’m probably “the short term goal” in Tim Cook’s books, I worked my way up to buying into the top of the totem pole and now have a $500 product collecting dust. Steve Jobs would roll in his grave at this 😂 The iPad should be the ultimate digital notebook on its own that blends seamlessly between Mac and iPhone as an accessory to both. I should WANT to upgrade my iPad every few years to match my powerful Pro that I won’t need to upgrade for another 10 years.. but that’s long term goals, and Tim hates to cook those
Well the new Apple would never do anything like that. Which is sad cause it was a success !!!!

As someone who works in cell phone retail, this is going to be a nightmare of customers coming in saying they don't know how to use it because over night it completely changed itself.

Linux containers support natively in the OS is a surprisingly big feature. Not just for devs, but because apps can now launch Linux processes as container sidecars. So you can have a native macOS frontend in swift and the application's internals is one or more Linux processes. There's a massive ocean of Linux software this could be great for.
Linux containers outside Linux are just Linux running on top
It's just built in docker
@@matt5721 No, the only thing it shares with Docker is the OCI container format. The runtime is entirely different, and at least for running containers, looks like a much better implementation in terms of things like isolating different containers from each other. Might not be as nice for building container images, though.
Frankly I really don't like the Docker runtime, I prefer to use containerd or Podman in production environments. Simpler, faster, and more secure. (containerd is what Kubernetes uses under the hood instead of Docker.)
does it work with windowing? could be big for something like Proton (commenting before i actually watch the video)
