Thank you 🙏 There certainly is a lot of road and tarmac on the RRW. Hard on the feet and joints. I hike lightweight these days with trainers (trail runners), best change I ever made in my hiking life. No blisters or sores, no limping, no aching back or joints. You live and learn, eh? @@JustinWhiting9 I do like boots, but I'm getting to the stage where trying trail shoes might be a good idea. I can be a bit clumsy, so I like to have the extra ankle support of a boot. I think a trail shoe would certainly have been the sensible option on the RRW.
