Does anyone knows the year of this performance? The song is sad and she looks sad but once the performance is over Montsy still looks said. Normally, she smiles at this point. At times when I listen to her and am reminded that she has left us, I feel like crying.

Elle fut refusée, et, bien sûr, très vexée. Car depuis, cette remarquable chanteuse, l'une des plus grandes du siècle, est devenue célèbre, partout. On dit qu'elle a refusé toutes les propositions qui lui furent faites après, à l'opéra de Paris. Gabriel en fut marri. Trop tard ! Elle chantait encore à 94 ans : essayez de retrouver cette émouvante émission, dans laquelle elle fait ses derniers adieux. Mais pourquoi regarde-t-elle avec obstination sa partition, alors que cet air - "Caro mio ben" - est d'une simplicité enfantine !
Et il a ajouté : "On serait condamné, non à faire des mises en scène AVEC ELLE, mais AUTOUR D'ELLE !" Pas idéal pour un meteur en scène.
