    Bank, river bank. River banks control the flow of the "Current/Cy"
    Frozen, liquid assets. Liquidity = surplus funds. Debt is referred to as "Hot Water".
    Paying a debt can be referred to as being "Bailed Out" bailing water from a sinking vessel. Blah blah blah, maritime admiralty Law and uniform commercial code.
    Interesting stuff.

    Hi Alex,
    -hanks so much for this brilliant lesson about banking. I'm an Italian bank-employee and I often wonder how is called my specific role at the office. As I help customers opening acounts, applying for personal loans and mortgages, also choosing appropriate investments for their savings, should I use the general name "banking advisor"? I'm a basic employee and not a manager so I don't want to brag, just being precise.
    Thank you for all your valuable lessons.
    Kind Regards.
    Monica (Italy)

    I checked your website for some Quiz. I found the inquiry: 'I just got paid today, so I'm going to deposit this cheque into my savings account.' Are you an American? Perhaps, I think you've got paid by cheque in your country.
    Whereas, in Japan, people would get paid by currency notes or bank transfer.
    So, making a deposit by cheque into the savings account is unusual in Japan. I had gotten a correct answer, though. :)

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  6 лет назад

      Yeah, it's definitely not a common way to get paid in Canada and the United States anymore either. There are still a few companies who do it, though.

    What would be the most accurate phrases or sentences in order to be caring and professionnal?Waiting for your proposals.Thanks in advance!!

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  8 лет назад

      Hmm, I'm not too familiar with that field, but I imagine you'd just need some basic polite phrases like:
      "May I take your bags?" or "Please allow me to take your bags." or "I'll take your bags" if it's informal.
      "Where would you like to go today?"
      "Let me know how/if I can be of any further assistance."
      "How may I help you today?"
      These are the phrases that automatically come to mind.
