Today, @chrismd10 and @WorldofJcc were invited to try and see how many goals they could score against my from 100 shots.

Showing real promise in goal Ciaran and I love the videos, the editing is quality. I'm not a GK myself but here's a couple tips anyway:
1. Stand a yard or two ahead of the goal line for shots from this distance, it closes the angle slightly giving you the ability to cover more of the goal
2. All GKs do a small jump when you anticipate a shot coming, you are doing the jump but only once they've taken the shot. Doing it just before gives you more time to move.
Other than that, just practising more will give you a better idea of how wide the goal is and better judgement whether to parry or catch the ball. Best of luck Ciaran, see you at the next charity match!

as a keeper who made played at university level:
1. i would probably be 4-5 yds out personally to help cut down the angle slightly and give myself less distance to cover
2. jumping right before the shot is pretty commonplace but it’s actually not a great habit to develop, as mistiming that jump automatically puts you behind and forces you to play catch-up to the shot. instead, i always tried to make sure that my weight was slightly forward to help myself with diving forward instead of backwards (again, to give myself less goal to cover)
3. for catches, try and either form a triangle with your thumbs and pointer fingers or a W by putting your thumbs together at an angle
I am an ex academy goalkeeper, what you are suggesting is right, however until he sorts out his body position and dives, he cannot use these effectively
