I was trying to find a video about the beacons. I know they were made for whiteboards, but I’ve discovered that I can make them on my own out of fluorescent orange laminated paper and I was wondering if they would work around a magazine page or a photo or something I’ve written in a regular notebook.
I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but how do you handle daily/normal oil from hands on the pages? When I rest my hand on the page as I'm writing I find where my hand was resting does not pick up the pen. This typically happens in the margin since I tend to hold my book versus place it on the desk. I've wiped it down with a damp cloth but it still retains the oil. I feel like I have smaller pages now since I can't write closer to the edge. I'd love to know if anyone else encounters this. And I do wash my hands pretty frequently during the day and never have lotion on if I'm going to use my book. (I mean, I guess I'm perfectly hydrated. 😂) Thank you and I really enjoy your videos, tips, tricks, etc.
Interesting. I haven’t heard of anyone having this problem, but I’m sure you’re not the only one. (My hands are too dry usually so I haven’t had that issue.) Maybe you can use the microfiber cloth that comes with the Rocketbook to put under your hand as you write? It’s soft and smooth and would probably easily glide along the page under the parts of your hand that touch and would keep any oils from getting on the page. Let me know if that helps!! ❤️
Hi Suzanna Kaye, thanks for this info! I'm new to Rocketbook so I'm trying to learn all I can. :) Do you have a basics/getting started video to help out a newbie??
If you’re using the OCR feature for your documents (that changes the image to text) you can. If you have it set to just scan as a PDF image you would not be able to use the search function within the document.
Yes, you would need to wait a few seconds for the ink to dry before touching it. It dries quite fast, but if you’re a fast writer it could slow you down a little (depending on how fast you write). I’ve heard some lefties have no problem but others do have to be more aware of it.
I’m left handed.. so it’s a bit hard to write without making a mess! I need to remind myself to avoid resting my hand on the page Lol The pens and highlighters are good though 🙂 thank you for your video
I have found ways to remove it but when you do it does damage the page coating so that part of the page does not wipe clean easily again. Once you’ve used permanent marker on it that truly is a permanent change.
I suggest when you erase dont use the eraser on the pen, use water and cloth, because the eraser can remove the thin plastic for it to be reused better.
Thanks for your feedback! I’ve never had any trouble after years of erasing smaller sections with a pen, but I do agree that water is better overall. 😁
Thanks so much for your videos, Suzanna! You are a STAR!
Thank you! 😁
Thank you for all this information.❤

You’re so welcome! And yes, check out my Rocketbook playlist for a bunch of other videos that are helpful for new users. 😁❤️
Thank you has help me a lot…..😀
I’m so glad!!!
My question is once you save your document can you use the find feature or ctrl+F to find a certain word within the document

@@SuzannaKayeOrganizing thank you!
Wonderful video!
I am left handed. Would I have to worry about smudging while writing across the page?

Aw, that’s a bummer! I’m glad you’ve found a way to still make it work. 😁❤️
have you ever tried the magic trick of removing the sharpie (permanent) marker on the rocketbook pages?

i would not use eraser in a rocketbook always wet and erase
i use eraser for regular paper
Thanks - I’ve heard of not using the eraser on the pages, but after using Frixion erasers on the pages for many years I haven’t had issues. 😁
The gummy residue can be removed with alcohol or hand sanitizer...gently rub.
