DBZ: Kakarot managed to make arguably the coolest DBZ character even more badass by giving Future Gohan one last stand against the Cyborgs instead of outright letting the Cyborgs kill him.
That DLC was much better than the movie.
And Xenoverse did even better by letting Trunks actually SAVE him. I love that they let Trunks have something for once.

Giving future Gohan a last stand with that amazing Kamehameha was such a nice touch
And it makes sense, after all Gohan died as a Super Saiyan so he still had energy in the special but he did nothing with it.

And this cinematic remember me to the last stand of Bardock. Even Gohan remember Trunks. Like Bardock see how Goku defeats Frieza in his vision.

The character - gokus, has inspired lots of people. I like him a lot so I decided to create a statue of him using cement, if you are a fan of him then I believe you will like it!

I think a lot of us can agree that DBZ: Kakarot actually made Goku going SSJ quite a bit more dramatic than it was originally. I mean, the swirling wind, the oceans boiling, seeing Goku’s muscles get slightly bigger, the flashes, everything was awesome in that version of Goku going SSJ.
Nah I still like the original. Seeing the dark cloud swell up and the lightning in the background. And the. How coldly he tells gohan to basically gtfo
Honestly it wasn’t even that dramatic compared to the Anime, here it lasted for a few seconds while the transformation in the anime took a good few minutes it had a longer build up the sky went dark gokus head bobbed up and down with anger
Kakarot isn't the best dbz game, but it was certainly pretty awesome seeing what was essentially a remaster of some of the original best moments

theres one huge thing i discovered in kakarots super Saiyan scene...
notice how the aura just randomly oozes instead of being channeled in a specific way all over the body which shows that its nothing but pure rage and vengence rather than a martial art fight with techniques.
that animation and the one from og budokai if anyone has played it.. still makes me fire up and do something

One thing i really appreciated about dbz was that they hesitated to showcase a new transformation right until the best of the previous one had been achieved..
Take a look at when goku was at kaioken 20x.. that was lit animation for the 90s..
Even super saiyan 2 had a good entry.
Battle of the gods was still fine but i think we never really saw the best of ssg and neither ssb.
It was mostly just ssb kaioken that seemed a bit more violent but all in all.. kids liked the colour scheme.. they liked the cringey story between monaka and whatever the fk it was.
Real ogs of anime either shifted to one piece and grinded that or just moved on..

I would have loved to see more from ssg and instead of blue we just get an over buffed ssg..

I'm pretty sure it came as a shocker when everyone saw the cutscene for Gohan's death in XenoVerse 2, that was the first time we saw it look so good

Trunks defeating zamasu makes more sense in xv2. At least they show him collecting energy from warriors of different timeliness

I just cant get tired of future gohan's scenes. They are just amazing and so emotionnal in a way.
Xenoverse 2 had a lot of good future Gohan scenes i remember the best line was " if you're here all grown up, then the future is safe isn't it and so this fight has a real purpose.That's enough for me" This dialogue really struck with me cause even Gohan knew that he was going to die but he guessed that his death will serve a meaningful role in trunks life and allow him to finally reach super Saiyan
Kakarot can easily take the entire list. It has insane cutscenes
only problem with it is once u complete the story line there’s nothing to do but grind to level 300 no online mode nothing just solo by yourself

I really feel like with shading you could get the models to look at least similar to the cutscenes. They made the models way too shiny but they’re not nearly as shiny in the cutscenes which is weird

Zamasu considers all mortals to be human, that's why Trunks talks about "being human" showing Zamasu the power of mortals
basically every one of these is a top tier scene in itself.
even if anyone of us db community persons were given a huge money sump ... we would probably still say these are all favs and we cant choose one...

Looking back at the xenoverse 2 cutscenes this could be what dbs 2022 could look like just a bit to match with the manga (for example look at the vegeta vs toppo and goku and Gohan vs the janemba clones cutscene as well)

Honestly I have watched Goku turning Super Saiyan a billion times. But DBZ Kakarot made me get chills watching it again. The way his power rips apart the planet and clears the clouds from the sky even before he nearly explodes with energy is so damn terrifying. That entire game is one giant love letter. I can't wait to see what they do with the 23d World Tournament in DLC 5
DBZ Kakarot: Recoome's Ultra Fighting Bomber was another one, that powerup animation was ridiculously over designed for what generally is considered a rather minor moment in the series, sets up the sudden cancel from Goku elbowing him perfectly (with added mountain being blown to pieces behind Recoome from the impact of what looked like a minor attack from Goku).
Kakarot cutscenes are simply perfect

Vegitos animation in dbz kakarot was so clean that’s my favorite one
10:12 this cutscene hits hard, not only because Gohan died but Trunks lost his closest friend in a young age.
DBX2 has some of the best animation that i have seen and its a pretty old game so its a surprise how much work they put into the animation for DBX2
I really love the Kamehameha vs Galicia Gun but that Vegito vs Buu was just top tier and deserved it’s #1 spot on this list

I love how the Kakarot suoerbsaiyan looks. Besides being animated amazingly, it really shows what the ki was supposed to be, being more Fire like in the manga rather than the jagged transparent ki we got in the anime. Kakarot is one of the most well animated and designed 3D games, and that's including non-Dragon Ball games
(Really feeling like DBZ Kakarot's cutscenes are being underappreciated. Best game I've seen in a while visually.)

I was reading comments and I see literally no one talking about the vegito vs buuhan's cutscene. That was something else, and fancy. It felt like, animators and designers knew what vegito was made of, they didnt have to go out like this. Damn!

I just wanna know how there was such a difference I these Xenoverse cutscenes, and the actual game.
Imagine how good the game would be if it had the cutscene graphics.
console limitations and budget. There's no way a ps4, switch etc would run a game on those graphics. FighterZ cant even come close to said graphics and that game has horrible fluidity during their cutscenes.
@@michaelshahoe Actually it is possible, also if that were the case I doubt the cut scene would perform smoothly and the Switch is more capable then you think. I'm not sure what you meant by "fluidity" in FighterZ's cut scenes. Also if you're talking about the animation style in FighterZ that's how it was designed, it was made by the creators of BlazeBlue. Dragon Ball Xenoverse also had its budget limitations also noticeable with the in game character audio. And if the creators wanted to have FighterZ's graphics more realistic they could if they wanted to, since Unreal Engine 4 was used to create the game they could've given the graphics a more realistic look. But considering it is a Anime based game/cartoon take into realization that they might've wanted a cartoonish vibrant look common sense. Also Nintendo is known for some indie games mostly and is reasonable for 300 dollars, it can play demanding games too including Fortnite.
@@acecard3816 If you claim it's possible, than feel free to believe that. Doom on the switch as an example is heavily downgraded compared to the console counterpart. The consoles being heavily downgraded compared to the PC counterpart. If you want this type of graphics IN REALTIME and not as a CGI, than that's IMPOSSIBLE on a Switch. This is why Nintendo's strength isnt graphics. They make it up with artstyle and gameplay while Microsoft and Sony are competing for the highest graphics on a console.
When you look at FighterZ, the animation is stiff. Just look at the story mode cutscenes, dramatic finish or victory screen.The high budget Xenoverse cutscenes are smooth. The hair animation, clothes animation/frames doesnt recycle itself unlike in FighterZ. The reason why FighterZ does it is obviously to save storage space and less calculations for the hardwares.
