I love how Darren is absolutely as humble and gentle-spirited as ever, even with all of his current success. He is just such a lovely man. I do miss the curls, though.

You know, Bieber fans always defend him saying to look at his work before he was even famous, on youtube. I have. I guess he's pretty good because he was able to play instruments and sing with some ability, but honestly, he didn't blow me away. And more importantly, I didn't feel anything when Bieber sang, which is the most important thing when I listen to music. He was devoid of emotion. Meanwhile, I have to say that when I heard Darren's work (I was a fan before he was famous on Glee), I was more than impressed. Not only does he sing these songs so well, but he has the right emotion, singing with just as much gusto as the original Disney version. I love how he isn't afraid to be these characters when he sings. He deserves to be more famous than he is. Or at the very least, more famous than Bieber.
The fact that Darren has 1000x more class and respect for people around him only makes this belief stronger, tbh. You wouldn't see Darren egging his neighbors or getting friends to take the fall for drugs in his house. Or treating his fans like shit. (There is a TON of stories about Darren being an angel to fans, in fact.) He's a good guy with a lot of talent.

8 years later and yes, Darren is now a star of stage and screen and I'm very proud of him for that... BUT HE'S NOT A DISNEY PRINCE! (yet) ;)

I didn't know it was possible to love this guy any more than I already did. I was obsessed with learning these Disney songs growing up; writing all the lyrics down in hopes of memorizing them. Darren sounds so clear and beautiful, it just makes me feel all nostalgic.

Gotta admit that this is one of my fav Alan Menken songs, due to the fact that "Beauty & the Beast" was the first film I ever saw in the cinemas.
The part when she sings "Ahhh, isn't it amazing, it's my favourite part because you see..." still gives me goosebumps to this day, 20 years later. And I gotta say, this cover was pretty darn amazing, and I'm harsh when it comes to Disney covers, just 'cause I love Disney so much =P

Returning almost ten years after first falling in love with Darren and his talent. It holds up incredibly and gives me faith that I had some good ideas back then. forever will have a spot in my heart and proud that he made it outside of his little apartment with broken guitar strings
I am 60 years old and would never have listened to these age group music, I was looking for the song Belle and clicked on this and I was impressed with this young man's talent; hope still springs eternal with talent like this young man. Must make his parents very proud.
