What's old is new,had a 20 something want my 97 F 350 today, had a guy complement me on my 93 peterbilt last WK, songs are being played from 40,50 years ago and folks react like they are new! Thrilled with this rendition of a pure classic,God Bless You All
Great stuff gentlemen. This brings back lots of memories playing with my family in West Virginia. Very similar composition of instruments; myself on mando, dad and uncle on guitar. Lends itself well to all acoustic lineup. Thanks for the memory and the wonderful cover!😊
Great fidelity in the sound, nicely done. Jeremy your playing and yawls reviews inspired me to pick up a Gibson F5-G from my local. F5 what a beautiful sound. Didn't have a clue how much fun Mandolin is and easy to get started on for a guitar player. Thanks for sharing gents.
A lot of people think Vince Gill sang this on the Pure Prairie League album but it was recorded before the original singer quit and he joined them. Great cover guys’.
Actually, it was this song that made me wanna be a flatpicker.... In SoCal where I grew up back in the 70s we had nothing called "bluegrass." When I first heard that opening flatpicking intro, I said, "Hey! I wanna play guitar like THAT!" Later when I moved to Virginia where there was "bluegrass" I connected the dots to the opening solo with bluegrass flatpicking.
I don't know what guitar John is playing, but my Eastman TAS 10th Anniversary E20 TC MR BS handles it nicely. Guitar links need fixing Thanks, John, Jeremy, Jason and Hinkley
Haha, that is indeed the most famous flatpicking and bluegrass song ever to cross over to mainstream. Craig Lee Fuller is a geniuses' genius. Well picked, tho'!
Good job guys! Now. Real question. In light of this, how tha heck do you only learn one song a day, or even thoroughly? Found one from Red Clay Strays “Wondering Why” yesterday and got the basics. I’ve loved this song since I was a kid in the 70s. And now y’all done brought it back to mind. Officially cued! Maybe it’s a joke, but, maybe not. 😉Thanks again for the inspiration!
Great job on a classic song.I really like it when you fellas play the classic music cause it gets me excited to grab a guitar and jam along with you! That is something I dearly love to do so thanks for picking one of my favorite songs to cover.I know you can't hear me but I'm pickin right there with ya! Love it .Good job on that cover guys& thanks!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fabulous song and one of the best covers (Foxes and Fossils also have a great one), but wasn't the original kind of bluegrass - Pure Prairie League? Well, country, anyway. Great drive in this version.
My all time favorite down-home style song to play!! Great job, guys!!

Nice! Ty!
Great job boys on a Pure Prairie League classic tune. I'm sure their lead singer Vince Gill would approve.
