    Nice! That J-CPU64 looks like an absolute winner. 🥇
    I will need to order one too and make a video as I torment it with some weird code.

      I'd be interested how it responds to any undocumented opcodes used in popular software. If you find exceptions, you should make a video showing it so that they can improve it.

    1:40 No knifes are needed. Look at the other end of the bag and you can see a tiny notch you use to tear open the bag 😄

      Cold in winter and full of mosquitoes in summer.

      Not much mosquitos here actually. Depends on the landscape.

    How to test for aluminum: Sodium Hydroxide or ferric chloride will dissolve it. If it's copper it'll be unaffected.

  • @ShieTar_
    @ShieTar_ 11 дней назад

    I think making aluminium look like copper for a wire this fine would lead to an overall more expensive product. But also aluminium has about 75% of the current capacity of copper, so it would be perfectly fine for just about any application you are likely to use it for anyways.

    To test for copper, make some fine shavings with a sharp knife. Sprinkle the shavings into an alcohol or natural gas flame using tweezers. Blue/green sparkles should be produced or the flame will momentarily turn blue/green. Aluminum will not cause this effect but rather brilliant white sparkles.

    If you order 10 pcbs of the a8 Pico Card from your sponsor and Order 10 of the Pico clone Boards with 16 MB flash ram IT will cost you around 60 bucks for 10 Pico carts which makes 6 to 7 bucks per device. 35 Euro that is expensive....

      Yes of course. But I am not into selling. I don't have time for that :)

    Hi Tommy, Great mail and donations video again. Question: do you check if the chips are real or fake? Greetings from Steven from the Netherlands

    • @Arcticretro
      @Arcticretro  7 дней назад +1

      I check them in a tester before I use them. So far I have been lucky with all chips, except maybe some op-amps I got a while back.

    I wonder if all those smd components on the bottom are level shifters to bring it from 3.3v to 5v

      Might be. I did not take a close look

    35 euros for a bare PCB and a €3 RP2040 clone is not cheap.

    • @Arcticretro
      @Arcticretro  7 дней назад

      Well, it was including shipping and no taxes. I guess if I bought it from a foreign seller I would end up with higher price.
