    The reason why you're not supposed to crimp it twice all the way to the end of the connector is because you want that part to still be round and just a snug fit on the coax. That's better from a strain relief perspective and if you're pulling hard enough on it for that first crimp alone to be insufficient then your cable is already destroyed. It's not like it makes a huge difference but it's no different than adding heat shrink. You're trying to avoid stress concentrations where you're going from a nice flexible cable to the rigid and unyielding connector.
