I went to vietnam in june 2019, pre covid19, it was the best country to visit by far. I loved it so much im going back in september of this year 2023 for 3 full weeks, will visit Sapa for sure!
The ladies that were in the video are the Red Dao people. They are my people, but in America we are known as the Iu Mien people. I apologize if they made you feel uncomfortable. I was also there in Sa Pa in November, 2019. I did meet a few of my people there and they made me a little uncomfortable as well, but I understand why. Life is really hard for them and I gave as much as I could to help my people. I hope you had a great time there. Great video by the way.
Just got back from VN in January, and already booked another trip in September. Sapa is on the list, since I didn't get a chance to earlier this year. LOVE the content.
You need to go through hanoi to get to sapa. Don't trust the travel shops all along the streets in Central hanoi. They will cheat you on the prices, but if you bargain you might get a decent deal. If you know how to speak Vietnamese, you don't need tour guide. Just get a round trip bus and if you want to be safe you can book hotel in advanced. But there are plenty of hotels to choose from. You can find all the information you need about touring sapa when you arrive in the city. 😊

I was thinking of Europe but I may go on Sapa first. My first main question is I might have to go solo, so is it safe going alone to Sa Pa based on your experience and meeting other travelers there too?. Thank you! By the way, I love the fall at the end into the pool. Was that you or your friend? Definitely a killer ending LOL. Hope you were okay..

Great video, could you confirm the name of the car company you used to transfer between Hanoi and Sapa.

It is definitely safe to travel alone and meet people there. There are usually a lot of travellers from different countries there!
